It's a pretty skill dependent class. If it's on a good player, it's one of the strongest. If it's on a bad player, it's one of the weakest.

Depends on how reckless a player is.

Not as cheesy as tons of other characters the hypocrites in this place call "balanced".

Not cheesy.
GI popularity is not even remotely close to TGI popularity.

I dont think people understand what Cheesy means in terms of media. Cheesy means that something is blatantly obvious, unsubtle, or trying way too hard.
GI is not cheesy. Its high damage output comes at a very hefty price of low shields & health. Unskilled players will fail miserably trying to make the GI perform well.
Is GI over powered? Maybe, but treating cheesiness as being synonymous with over-powered is a misnomer.

Seemed much cheesier in the past, yet now that there are several other real strong classes to contend with, it sticks out less.

Hm....Emmentaler I guess.
That said, the GI is a perfect example of a balanced class. Horribly weak shields and health, but insane damage outpoot.

Not very cheesy now, but cubes of cheese dipped in melted cheese topped with shredded cheese back when the Krysae was first released.

On a good player - why can't I find anything to kill?
On a bad player - why are you dying so much?

Stikman is 100% correct. A GI can be unbeatable in a skilled players hands but let a bad player use him and it's going to be embarrassing.
