Would you spend a year on a forum complaining if you got a traffic ticket?

A traffic ticket is the drivers fault, he can only complain to himself.

So what are you implying? That if it wasn't the driver's fault, it would be reasonable to spend a year making complaints on a forum to 'justify' the 80 bucks?

No, my other post is related to that.

If ME 3 is interesting enough to you that you're willing to spend over a year on a forum discussing it, it was very clearly worth that 80 bucks to you after all, wasn't it?

Well this forums represents the entire trilogy too, perhaps the franchise as well.

No, David, I don't think it was worth the $80 I spent on it.

That does not mean I think it's worthless. It just means I think it's worth LESS.

Sheesh. Do you actively go out of your way to find my posts so you can start a debate?

Hardly. It's just logic that if someone's spent a year here, their concerns with the game are obviously not about money.

@David

So because I periodically pop in to join a discussion it automatically means I feel I got my money's worth?

Glad you enjoyed the "epic" ending. I just ended up killing the ship's computer and getting buried in a pile of rubble and taking a gasp of air, but hey I blew up the galaxy.

All the endings were virtually identical except for the color of explosions on your screen -- you died, the mass relays were destroyed, and the Normandy crashed.

I don't think you understood what the entire series was about.

The series wasn't about the mass relays.

The series wasn't about the Normandy.

The series was about the Reapers.

I don't think you understood what the series was about.

The series wasn't about the Reapers. The series was about unity > impossible odds and heroism.

Next time it's about going straight to spoilerville before buying a game. No pre-orders. No day one orders. Is the story well written and satisfying? Is the ending satisfying?

No it was not. Was LOTR about Sauron? DA:O about darkspawn?
Reapers,Sauron, blight were merely Big Bad Background, while the story revolved around characters and main hero.

There is more reasons to be on forums than just complaining.

And yet forums are notorious for trying their hardest to disprove this.

Switcher???

Goddamn autocorrect.

also for those who asked I did play Darksiders 2, why? Contrived and predictable as it was at the end (same with Crysis 3) I felt watching the ending the following

1: a sense of victory (where my character is not forced into suicide and that's that as the Horsemen do not die AND death is called back to earth by War as of the events of Darksiders 1....that goes DOUBLE for Crysis 3....heroic willpower + killsat rifle FTW)
2: a desire to play more

ME3 merely made me feel depressed about the whole thing (until I accepted the "it's up to you" bs thanks to my old Narrator) and it made me want to not even THINK about replaying the series....and in spite of all that I still own the trilogy in the hope BW will wake the hell up and add a reunion scene for ME3 (or announce Shepard returns in ME4) so I can play the trilogy again

PS: I now do that with movies too. I have not had the chance to watch Iron Man 3 yet but you can bet I know how it ends in great detail.

I don't typically insult people, but...don't be an idiot. Other people will like what you will not like, and you will like what other people dislike. To say otherwise is hubris.

This.

Nothing needs to be done, the game is fine ^_^

Just finished ME3 and all dlc's and I'm in mourning about that stupid ending. I have waited so long to install it because of that ending but nevertheless I had to go through this and it was great just before I end on that damned Memorial Wall even after destroying the reapers and with high EMS still on that wall.

With all the DLC and a decent import your final EMS should be about 4200...more than enough for the breath scene....

Then what? If Bioware ever does this again, what are you going to do? Make more unoriginal threads?

No but hopefully people wont keep responding with insults and maybe Bioware will take the comments seriously. Of course there will always be the trollers like yourself that just feel the need to be insulting.

I hope they don't so that they'll send the message they've been claiming they want to send to Bioware.  At the end of the day, the only way Bioware will learn any lessons is if it comes in the form of lost sales.

That's how it works.

What lesson would those lost sales teach, anyway? Don't make endings that people hate? Hard to operationalize that.

No it is actually not that hard Alan, just hire a good writer.
Hell I disliked the ending of the latest Batman movie since it was too neat, but at least it was bearable and did not ruin the entire movie for me..in short don't hire a mentally retarded to write your games plot and your fine

I'm so sick of this ending for Mass Effect 3. This is the greatest game series in my history of gaming with the worst ending as well. Bioware, if you ever make another game that's from the Mass effect universe I'll gladly buy it...but if you ever pull some crap like this again. You wont only lose me as a loyal fan but everyone else. I don't know if you guys even read these complaints anymore but whoever decided that this ending was the answer has lost everything that mattered in the ME universe. Choices...survival...closure.

Kill myself and control the nightmare...kill my friends and entire spiecies...or burn myself up in a beam to make everyone come together...wow

Sorry for yet another rant about the ending...

P.S. Miranda needs to get back on cloning duty...

To suggest they will lose you as a loyal customer and everyone else is a sweeping generalisation and not true as people out there do like those endings. i'm personally not a fan of the endings for ME3 and never will be as the option for an ending that i would have wanted as the culmination of Shepards journey doesn't get provided by Bioware.
imo i find control to be a sinister outcome. Synthesis i find abhorrent, but those endings seem to owe more to space magic. After personally finding ME3 to be a unrelentingly grim dark game to play the option for a light at the end of the tunnel for PC, some actually hope would have being good.Instead of two endings where the PC commits suicide, so for me those endings are a defeat and a failure of the PC. After everything else thats occurred in that game its just to much to bear.
The destroy ending has its faults as leaving the PCs fate ambiguous is not something that i welcomed as for the last time playing as the iconic commander Shepard, i don't personally want speculation as to what happens at that moment.i desire closure for this PC above all things.Bioware don't want me to speculate in the other endings, i could never understand why its required with this outcome. All things considered the option for another ending to have existed along side those three would have provided a welcome alternative.

Only partly right , of course LOTR is about defeating sauron, but also about  how people rise to an occasion and beat the odds ( and a whole lot more )
ME3 was only succesful in pointless partybanther and failed at all the other keypoints that make up a great  game/story

what is the difference really? It is a franchise I like very much and I do not feel like walking out feeling like I

A: wasted 15$

B: should not watch the other movies again because all I would feel would be regret

When does that mentality simply move to all fiction, just so you're never disappointed with a lackluster ending?

At this point, I'm going to have to hear really good things about the next game they make before I buy it. Certainly no preorder.

It does not. If The expendables 2 had a crappy ending I would not care because I am simply not invested enough / I do not like it enough to care

The ending of Darksiders 2 was pretty silly and contrived. Did you pass on it, crimzontearz?

Darksiders is pretty silly and contrived in general. I mean, I'm the abstract personification of a force of destruction prophesied to herald the end of days. Here's some stuff we made up to make that a heroic concept.

You say that like it's a fresh concept. Between Legacy of Kain and Warcraft, every other fantasy brawler/RPG has a "supposed to be evil but isn't" protagonist.
