Hrm, interesting.  That's essentially a Nightshade Blades-centric build.  You didn't go for any of the Weapon Stability passives, but then again, it's redundant if wielding a farily accurate and stable weapon anyway.  I like it.  I'll give that a whirl.  Thanks! B)

Well, if you're actually interested in listening to suggestions then we all might be able to lend some advice :)

I'm sure you found her very disappointing, if you didn't spec in the blades. They're pretty nice.

This with incendiary ammo is how I run her, and I like her quite a lot.

I'm even thinking of respeccing her and leave fitness at home... I'll probably give it a try when I find some time.

#4. she is a great platinum shocktrooper and revive machine.

#5. Why did you even bother making this post :?

The OP knows how to play. But that's not what discussion is all about.

I actually used it in Listen 2 People capacity :P

It's a finesse kit.

You seem awfully defensive about your inability to make it work. Most people have kits they aren't very good with. As personal failings go, it's not a big one, so I'd relax.

Oh, and l2p.

With the new, helpful information from this thread yesterday (and burning 2 more re-spec cards ), I ended up with a Cabal build I can live with for the remaining ~40 waves I needed with her, and unlocked my Commando Mastery banner.

http://narida.pytalh...enadeCapacity5/

(Plus Drill Rounds 1, would comprise my typical Gold match loadout.)  Aggressive and continuous offensive across 11 Waves (giving way to objective-priority waves, of course).  Full-melee build with Nighshade Blades support.

Caveats are:

1.  Must be on-host.  Tried one match off-host.  While the host wasn't really notably laggy, heavy melee target tracking is atrocious.  And then there's the typical delay of teleport-dodge kits when off-host.  Marauders get the upper hand in melee when off-host.  Etcetera.  Lost of minor issues that end up diminishing her overall combat effectiveness.

2.  Grenade Capacity V Gear is a MUST.  Played one game after I played a match as N7 Fury and forgot  to switch back to Grenade Capacity V gear.  Successful extraction but a mere 2 Nighshade Blades is VERY NOT OK with this build.

Other than that, full attack.  Always.  If anyone noticed, I never once b*tched about her survivability.  Attack-evasion is very easy with her.  And Biotic Focus helps tremendously to stay in melee range against multiple targets, and even shrug off enemy DOT effects.  Even to the point that I purposely intercept and shield teammates from Banshee Warps.  I can tank Banshees on ramps and stairs for teammates to focus fire.

One problem with this kit that I don't understand:  Cannot reliably melee a Brute.  Majority of attempts, my melee impact will instantly stagger me, even when the Brute isn't facing me.  And this is on-host.

Anyway, while it wasn't fun, I did finally end up with a build that I somewhat managed to shoehorn into my preferred playstyle, and complete 200-waves with her.  Handles well against Cerberus and Reapers.  Surprisingly effective against Geth (this turnout actually surprised me).  No experience with this kit against Collectors ('Unknown' enemy RNG), but I'm not particularly curious about that either. :P

That depends on your criteria though.  To me, those kits you enumerated aren't "dumb", as they have Powers that synergize with multiplayer.

The Cabal Turian, on the other hand, for instance, has a class-defining Power (Poison Strike, I am pointing at you) that doesn't synergize at all with multiplayer.

I personally like the cabal. One of my more fav/fun kits. I run:
4 (range) in PS
4 in NSB (carry 3 they are stagger backup crap buttons)
40% shields and .5sec iframes
Full weapon passives
Full melee build

PPR for unlimited ammo (beefed 37.5 w/ 30% headshot with passives) with incin ammo on it.
Shoot, poof, shoot some more... PS through = FE... poof... shoot PPS FE. I play her as a never ending teleporting laser beam. Works very well actually. And if I need to haul arse the DoT from PS and incin ammo finishes weakened enemies. Also with melee synergy I start to melt and finish off alot of mobs w/ heavy melee to bump PPR dmg an additional 25%. BioFocus allows you to keep in hotmode while things shoot at you and you can keep your shieldgate.

EDIT:  I use Geth gear too so I know im not t-porting into a s#*! storm.... also allows for heavy melee tracking when enemy is behind cover and so I can start ramping up the PPR rounding corners so its in hotmode the moment the enemy is in my LOS.  :)

People say her biggest problem is priming her own 'plosions.  I prime with fire ammo for myself, detonate off others.  Once you start thinking with teleports... like on say giant, from the ground up into the control room, from the control room to the ammo on basement...  or on the LZ side ammo up into the room... from that room through the wall to the ramps...  etc.  That laser should be everywhere and it gives time for the ppr recharge.

Great kit to use up the crazy stash of my power efficiency 3s on too to spam more BioFocus and PStrikes.

All kits can suffer off host.

I spend too much time meleeing to use NB. Didn't even spec into them. Instead I got double dash. Use the 1st dash to get within range, BF for melee lulz, then heavy melee. Dash and dodge for new point of attack and to disorient enemies. Constantly moving, constanly meleeing.

Right.  Or just some slight deviation of BC.  Maybe some sort of Biotic strike, akin to the N7 Shadow's Shadow Strike, but behaves like a BC.  A targeted attack, single target; no AoE evolution, but deals massive melee damage.  No innate DOT, but does inflict the DOT from Venom Gauntlets. *shrug*

Didn't realize so much hate on the cabal. I PS... A lot. I usually have no problem pulling 150k+ in a u/g game with her. Unlike BC/SS I do not need a target I can PS at will any direction I want --- through walls, crates, boxes, and 3 brutes charging me. I get an oomph that makes banshee biotic jumps look slow! You will always beat even a drell or AUI to a disable by long shot (because you go through all the walls ha!).  Between PS jumps and BF you can revive team mates on the other side of the map a few sec after they down.  What’s not to love with this power?!? :P

On a side note with how I player her... PPR gets what a 4x? dmg multiplier in 'hot mode.' Then add in Turian weapon passive of 37.5% plus a headshot bonus of 30% (PPR is pinpoint accurate too and a solid beam -- EASY to keep the beam steadfast on something's face) plus last fitness melee synergy of 25% plus an assault rifle amp III 30% you have a CRAZY 122.50% multiplier... add in additional ammo multipliers too... I'm telling’ ya this chicky melts stuff with  the ppr and the PS and teleporting dodges allow the ppr to charge allowing that bad boy to always be ready to fire.

This. Coupled with Geth Scanner & NB, makes this kit very fun to play and outright deadly. Image IPB

Poison Strike is still extremely useful and IMO should always be taken to Rank 4 just for the 16.8 Meter teleport. Though, it's kind've sad that it's not more than just a utility, since if its hitbox was a bit wider and had the entire length of Poison Strike, it'd actually be a pretty devastating power.

Wait.  You mean you don't? :P

Anyway, to answer your question; (1) it was distracted (by a teammate), (2) we were on the ramp anyway, and (3) my melee does more damage than the Eagle X. :P

Regardless, it's strange to me that the Cabal can't do it (she gets staggered).  The N7 Shadow (another melee-specialist kit for an apples-to-apples comparison) can perform her whole 3-hit melee chain and/or heavy melee on a Brute without any issues.  Hence my confusion.

Was wondering the same.

Not the most efficient way, I'm sure, but I have lots of fun playing matador with Brutes (and, to a lesser extent, Atlases). Fire weapon at them (extra nice if using incendiary ammo). When about to charge you (or rocket you, in the case of the Atlas), you "charge" them first with Poison Strike (and set off a fire explosion if you primed with with incendiary). I find I can turn around and start firing again quicker than they can re-orient themselves to my new position. Then, I just PS through them again once they've turned around and are trying to attack once more. Rinse and repeat until they're dead.

Bonus points for drinking while doing this. Extra bonus points for drunkenly yelling out "Toro! Toro!" over the mic while doing this. Image IPB
