The Turian Cabal is the dumbest kit ever introduced into ME3MP. Period.

Alright. A shotgun then. What do you suggest? Please don't say "Reegar", as that's not helping the Cabal's case (as the lolReegar benefits any kit).

Reegar.
That doesn't help the Cabal Turian, as a kit.

Another bonus to shotguns (or ARs) is that you can slap on gear like Shocktrooper or Warfighter and have some NBs to back you up when things are looking bad.

Reegar, Reegar, Reegar

Oh leave the Reegar at home. Take something beefy like a Reegar or a Reegar. If you're really not concerned about cooldowns and feeling confident, go for Reegar or Reegar.

Rather use a Reegar for a weapon.

Wraith, Pirahna, Talon or Raider. Claymore IMO is too heavy for this kit, but I'm sure someone will be along to disagree with me...

tetsutsuru, you have a point in criticising the DoT power set the Cabal has, but I think it's a nice touch. If the melee was dealing just the upfront damage, it would be less interesting. I think NSB deal satisfying impact damage as well (for a colldown-less power). The only thing that should deal all it's damage potential on the spot is the PS, but it's just a wrong design decision. I still think that the DoT is quite viable, especially on solos where you can take advantage of it, like with the Huntress, but for a regular play the DoT is just ineffective.
Maybe you were a little verbal about your dissatisfaction, but was it a reason enough to call you an idiot? I don't think so.
everybody chill, here's a cute duck.

Volus are not support kits.
I do wanna throw it out there that--yes, even though the little guys can be quite vicious, as you have proven--their abilities to support their teammates far outweigh what other characters can do to support their teammates.
I mean, the ONLY "support" characters that ever existed prior were the Geth Engineer (Geth Turret can heal teammates) and the N7 Demolisher (Supply Pylon gives teammates ammo, too), and their methods of support were barely reliable due to no direct involvement. In comparison to a teammate who can heal ANY number of teammates' shields AT WILL, that really isn't much.
It's more or less a matter of perspective. The Volus are support kits... relative to the "competition". Obviously this game's definition of support class doesn't equate to another game's more rigid definition of the role. Greatest evidence of this: if they were really meant to do nothing but support, why not avoid giving them 22.5% weapon damage passives? Or better yet, maybe disallow Volus the use of a weapon?
The Volus' role as support class in ME3 are analogous to Raiden's "Defensive Offense" skill in Metal Gear Rising. There are some who wouldn't consider Defensive Offense a true dodge ability, because even though it's the most reliable way of avoiding damage, it can still hurt the enemy, which makes sense because the general flow of the game is that you're always on the offense. (everything you can do does damage.) Similar situation in ME3. This isn't an MMO where you can rigidly define classes to one specific role and get away with it. If the Volus were purely support-based, they'd indubitably be the worst characters ever, because the flow of the game does not allow for a player to sit back and keep healing everyone 24/7.
They weren't badly-designed support characters (especially since they can still do exactly what the title implies). The simple fact that BioWare made dead sure they could easily defend themselves is actually a show of intelligence on their part.
TL;DR: Volus are support characters, just not in the usual sense of typically rigid "nothing BUT support". Relative to the game's pace, they are support classes. But if they were in another game it'd be hella weird to see a support class defend himself so well. But in this game, they have to.

I skip PS on her and max everything else. Bring a good gun that benefits from her passives (Hurricane, Pirahna, Raider...) and slap on Grenade Capacity gear, and her damage output is really not that bad. With this setup she's practicly unkillable on gold, because you can activate BF every 2.5s. Tanking two Geth Primes? With pleasure!
Wait, wait. She has innate "Stability" not "Accuracy", bonuses. Just making sure I understand you correctly.

NEVER said the Cabal Turial wasn't Platinum-viable. Not at all what this thread is/was about.
