To get your own voice I believe you have to record it on your computer and stick it together afterwards =/

Jeremiah, (you're on a hdpvr2 iirc) - new capture software - http://www.hauppauge.com/capture/ which can record your own voice and insert it into the video for you whilst recording the game.
(still need an external mic to the computer though.)

Though if you fancy giving it a try Dragon, it may work with your Elgato - need a mic to the computer though.

Disclaimer - not tested the software myself yet (its in development), so I'm not sure how it performs

My concern is this: I game with a bluetooth headset and audio coming out of my TV speakers. Not an earphone headset like a professional Turtle kit or something.

The laptop that the Elgato plugs into sits right there on the floor near the PS3 and TV. In theory, I could buy a mic for it, but I imagine rather than picking up my voice, all it's gonna record is the TV audio blasting past it.

Meh, I will do something special for you, BSN, since every time I post a video there's usually a few who are disappointed that there's no narration by yours truly. I'm about to run out the door to enjoy my Sunday, but either later tonight or sometime tomorrow, I will find a way to record a snippet of my voice and post it in here. A shout out to BSN, since you've been asking for it. Finally, the big reveal of the mighty DragonRacer's voice.

Don't get too excited. It's a rather monotone, alto redneck chick voice. I actually think it's rather boring, but I understand curiosities need sating and all that...

I went through this on my friends account when he got the game after Xmas. It was a lot of fun IMO. I might consider doing it on my main account if I could keep all my consumables.

On PS3, I think you can create as many user accounts as you want, as long as they have a separate email for each. As already mentioned, I did it last night, just to see if it would work. I just had to think up a new password for the EA login and I was good to go.

This has actually been a pretty good experience overall. I don't think I realized how much I depend on ops packs until I only had 2. And I freakin' love getting anything in a store pack now that isn't level 4 consumables.

Except for the eagle. So thanks, Jeremiah and Dragon Racer.

yeah, you really ave to think before using that precious gel, ops pack and missile. 

One huge thing is the lack of any piercing. All the guns I have right now (Valiant, Mattock and Phalanx ) are useless against Armor on Gold without a piercing mod or ap drill ammo. Playing a class with armor weakening like HA and human infiltrator is pretty much a must until I unlock that AR/SR piercing.

Ive actually had a couple other accounts I play under for a number of months. Left them behind to play Skyrim. Just started up again. Dont even have an AJ unlocked yet or a GI. Think, aside from common weapons, nothing above a II yet...lol

Its good practice and a whole lotta fun getting kicked or whupping ass with a N7 rating 495 and 100 challenge points.

I recently started a new account . Going to PC from Xbox. I know more RL friends who have PC than xbox.

I have to agree with what others have said. It is a lot of fun for a start. But I have also found the lack of peircing mods has limited my ability to play anything above silver difficulty. The ammount of armor mobs knocking about seriously hampers the damage out put. Althought the RNG has been kind with UR unlocks (Harrier II already!) I haven't had a single peirce mod from any of the 100's of vet packs I've opened. They've all come from Arsenal/Reserve packs.

Very good points about the piercing mods, armor rounds, etc. The first time I ran into a guardian, I was like, "Oh, crap... um, guys?" Sentinel with Avenger 1, and Warp with 1 point in it.... mommy!

Made the switch from Xbox to PC myself after getting sick of paying for Xbox Live Gold and the constant in-game D/C's due to lack of wireless internet. It does kind of suck losing all my holiday/challenge banners, gear, weapons, and characters but I will admit it is kind of fun and refreshing starting from scratch.

Plus I've already unlocked several new characters I never got to play on the Xbox version. I figure now that I don't have to worry about the pressure of paying for Xbox Live I can take my time and enjoy the game.
