I'm pretty sure they're configurable now to "simulate" real aim.

That and the Saber is not a gun that shoots perfectly straight.

To be honest part of this was my not wanting to think somebody is so desperate for recognition as to aimbot in a PVE game but actually paying attention to the whole thing it's hard to say he is not.

This is coming from somebody who bought his "I used to play CS professionally" schtick, but lol some of those headshots....

I used to buy that too. Another doubt I have is probably a matter of consistency. Either he didn't always use the aimbot and did have some skill too, or lag really ****s over aimbots. Cause I've outscored him a few times, mainly when I was hosting.

BTW I'm agnostic as to whether this is an aimbot video or not. I don't have enough experience with other shooters to say for sure. I will say that when I played with Jay he was about 40% better scorewise than the best other players I've played with (which includes just about all the well known PC players), so he's an anomaly of one kind or another, which one that is, I'm not sure.

It's aimbot, check it for frames and check the head tracking.

What happens with aimbot is, you can perfectly configurate them to work as you wish, limiting angles of action, activate it with a key [right mouse buttom] 

I know someone from here who has that aimbot but he doesn't want to give it to me because he doesn't want it to spread, i wanted to make a vid like this and upload it showing how the aimbot is configurated i still can do it but i don't know how to get an aimbot without paying.

I haven't done it (proof, look at the aim I have in my videos) but you can turn on aim-assist on pc by modding coalesced and also tune the parameters to the point where it is essentially perfect i.e. basically an aimbot.  I don't know if it applies to all players, or just the specific client, or only if they are hosting etc...

I don't see why lag wouldn't screw over aimbots especially in this game, since hit registration is all based on the host.

Speaking from experience as an admin for servers in some other FPS games who used to wield the banhammer fairly regularly... yes.

What we *may* be seeing is an aim-assist rather than aimbot.  Traditional clunky aimbots have a snap-to effect from distance... hence, you are actually incapable of missing.

More sophisticated aim-assist trainers require the user to have their crosshairs within a certain distance of the enemy they aim at before it will automatically lock onto the target.  Basically, it requires you to aim, but not for the head - it takes care of that part for you.  You can still miss.  It's harder to spot from an admin perspective, a lot harder to prove, and it isn't totally obvious EZ mode, but its a definite advantage.

The video is certainly fishy, but I'm not ready to pass judgement on Jay based on this alone.  There may be an aim-assist at work, but highly-refined twitch reflexes (and low FPS) can have the same visual appearance.  I'd caution people not to call someone a hacker based on a single video of this nature - especially as he's using a Saber with marksman.

There's a high liklihood of something fishy, but in my profession we don't convict people without proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and one video ain't it.  And I'm not saying that just because its Jay.

topographer vouched for him. Some people do have great aim. He claimed a 24 min plat solo. It sounds legit. Not like some of other solo times other players claim. On pc players can have better than on consoles.

That's what I've been thinking. If Jay is a cheater, he's bloody inconsistent at it. And frankly I'm still not willing to jump to the conclusion that he is.

Ryan, didn't know they had aim-assists like that. I'm wondering if the console version's aim assist is in the PC version's files.

Incorrect.  Low frame rate actually makes aiming much easier in most games.  Your mouse sensivity will track as normal, but the game animations visually take longer.

It's possible, or it could be a third-party program.  Most competitive multiplayer shooters are plagued by them.  I've seen them through the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon franchises, Team Fortress / Team Fortress 2, Insurgency, and a bunch of other shooters just in the time I've played multiplayer and they're getting more sophisticated with every generation.

Used to be you could spot and ban the hackers in short order.  These days, they can be tough to distinguish from good players who use mouse tricks and a variety of other advantageous but non-cheating tools (dynamic mouse sensitivity and low framerate) to accomplish the same thing.

End of the day, the only way to know with certainty if Jay was cheating is to sit down at his computer and try the game yourself.  This thread is pretty pointless as a result, especially since he doesn't play anymore.

The mouse smoothness is also a big factor, with low FPS even if your reflexes are good, it will take you longer to do everything, because you will feel everything is going too slow.
