Perfect head tracking of Dragoon while rolling or lunging?

Perfect and instant head tracking of a Nemesis flinching after previous headshot, while obscured by a wall and covered in smoke?

...

Totally possible. I call legit.

I always feel like a BAMF when i'm moving and shooting, and i accidentily catch one of their heads. It happens once or twice per match, but moving target to target to target, and following them so specifically, you would have to be super human.

Hell, i feel like a bamf when i make an assault trooper roll, and i track him, and land the headshot once he's done moving.

I had my fun with them but it's hilarious that they were ever marketed as "tactical"

The old ones were too hardcore for me (that and I can't stand losing guys permanently, which seems inevitable in those) but I dunno if you played Rainbow Six 3 for the consoles. Those felt like a better way to go than full blown arcade shooter style.

Have you heard of the old Half-Life mod Hostile Intent? I played a bit of that back in the day, it was pretty unforgiving.

I kind of wish the old Action mods were still popular; nice mix of realistic damage with arcade style play.

... I should reinstall SWAT 4

For me, the pinnacle of tactical multiplayer shooters was Ghost Recon (the very first one).  It was brilliant, unforgiving, and hard, especially against practiced opponents.  I played that competitively.

Never played Hostile Intent, but I played a lot of Insurgency (for HL2) which was a pretty good attempt at reinvigorating tac shooters in general.  I hated arcade play in general in anything approaching realistic damage modelling.

And the only console I have is a Wii, and that's solely for the party motion-control games.

Back on topic, is there anyone else anyone here that has played someone that consistently approached the level Jay was at (whether he was legit or not?)

I remember playing a 13 1/2 minute game with him on Ghost vs. Collectors, that was pretty much without nuking any spawns. At the end he had the same score as myself and d_nought combined.

That was a bad game on my part, I had no clue what I was doing.

I dont know anything about aimbots, but if Jay had nothing to hide why did he make Javstepping and Fencing with Cerberus private? That is world class shooting if it is legit.

For those still defending him... seriously, go watch Scrmz, or Hypno. Both players are professional FPS players who compete at tournaments around the world. The first replay is a demo playback, with spectator overlord (you can see the other player at all times) enabled.

Compare REAL professional gamers, to that video, and you'll see exactly why he's aimbotting.

Real FPS players can't make instant snap target switches, nor do they have pixel perfect head tracking.

Real FPS players also don't get banned on steam because their games are hooked.

Oh, and you all are welcome for me uploading the video to mediafire.

(Seen as how I was the only one with brain enough to know an aimbot when I see one and actually download the original video.)

For the longest of times I played devil's advocate for him, he seemed nice enough. Then Jay thought it would be intelligent to cheat against me in left for dead (precision head-shotting me, standing on the other side of a fence, when you can neither see, nor hear where I am? Nice try.). Just 2 weeks later he received a VAC ban on steam, because VAC found out his games were hooked.

All of this made me think, as even a fan club was created for this guy, and then another guy that did a platinum solo get bashed and accused of hacking just on mere speculations on that "6/6/6/6/6" thing.

so sad..:crying:

Yep, that confirms it. Jay's a cheater.

Aim is obviously not natural. Aim always snapped to head hitboxes, and was always tracking heads perfectly (even during staggers/irregular animations). Natural aim does a lot more... what's the word... leading/waiting instead of outright precision tracking.

The missed shots were a combination of both the aimbot being imperfect (or configured to be), and him toggling the aimbot off via keybind or something to make a few, intended misses to look less blatant. But it's fairly obvious when he turns them back on and like day contrasted with night, suddenly he's scoring perfect hits again.

Also passed the video to a friend who has written a couple rudimentary aimbots, and he could point out a couple quirks that gave the aimbot away.

Edit: last note about people outscoring him: just because he uses an aimbot, doesn't mean he's using it 100% of the time, and that it's IMPOSSIBLE for you to outscore/outplay him in some matches, or for him to have bad games.  That's how you be a good cheater: don't be ridiculously good or blatant all the time or it becomes suspicious and you get found out quicker.

Man, it's like most ME3 players have never really played anything else other than ME3, and have never encountered a half smart cheater before.

That God exists, peace between the Israelis and Palestinians is possible, and recent political science grads who are not planning on going to law school are effectively unemployable.

Some shots are suspicious, but simultaneously he misses shots, sometimes a few in a row. Would an aimbot still miss?

I pretty sure they can be turned on and off. But this is not a 100% prof that he is a cheater. Even if I still think he is. But I have a good aim myself and I know that some times you just fire shots that are totally of. Also you have drag you mouse so long that you run out of mouse mat and the aim gets a little higher lower then it's suppose to be. Also you can miss several shots in a row. It just happend, even if I blame lag when that happend, which you don't have when you host. <_< But also you can use macros to compensate for stability so on and so forth, that is on the edge of cheating, even tough I slip under catogory of burst fire macros, as to say legit. But there are a few things in this vid that dosen't add up tough... But a real evidence you can never have unless Jay admit it him self or make it really obvious. Like turning a 180 degree in a 1/9 part of a second and HSing phanom accross the map.

Yeah about God... we have dismissed that claim. :P But scoring more then Jay don't really prove that you are a cheater, or rather that he is not. Aim is far from everything. And a pro like you should know.

If you outscored him, mainly when you were host, then odds are it isnt an aimbot, but an edit to the coalesced.

Edit- If it's anything at all.

That's what I've been thinking. If Jay is a cheater, he's bloody inconsistent at it. And frankly I'm still not willing to jump to the conclusion that he is.

Ryan, didn't know they had aim-assists like that. I'm wondering if the console version's aim assist is in the PC version's files.

There are plenty of aim assists that use dx9 hooks without ever touching the app code, and are damn near undetectable.

I will say his aim is retardedly smooth and consistent for someone with such a **** framerate. I could care less as I never played with him, nor do I give a rat's ass about the clique he belonged to.

Some people are supremely skilled, some cheat. *shrug*

precision head-shotting me, standing on the other side of a fence

Is ridiculously easy to do for anyone with 7.1 surround sound set ups as all infected make idle noises even when not moving. Can't count the number of times I've shot someone through a wall. Not in one hit though.

The only thing suspicious is the tracking while they strafe but if xbox didn't have aim assist and if I cared enough to memorize the patterns from playing so much it wouldn't be undoable.
I do not believe he used aimbot because this isn't anything out of the world for PC controls, it is just something that a large percent of players don't believe to be possible.

There are some things that are off in that video, trust the PC-players. :P I do belive in that there are people with godly aim, I have seen them, but they don't aim like that. They don't get those perfectly centered shot every darn freaking time. They are still people. The shot where Jay missed is just to blow up a smoke cloud so it become less obvious that he is using a aimbot. Also as some already mention aimbots are not perfect. But I agree that we can never become 100% sure he used one or not.

Edit - 01:53 Is a good example of unatural movement.

Looking at the video, the basic algorithm appears to be something like:

1) If cursor is not within specified range of head hitbox, do nothing.
2) When user cursor is within specified range to head hitbox, trigger initial aim assist.
3) Once initial aim assist is on, enable more aggressive aim assist/tracking so that user keeps almost a dead-lock on head hitbox.

This may be why that when he misses, it's usually the first few shots. Once he starts hitting the heads, he continues to do so effortlessly.

This vid just shows the extreme.

I remember that long time ago I watched a video of a duo featuring Jay, where he was asked if he ever considered pursuing a pro gamer career :D

Little did they know.

Anyway, Haxorthrone is old news.

The only one I heard cheated and fooled BSN for a while was N7 link (Fury master guy).
He did do a fine job at destroying the rep for legit runs from PC folk though.
Not like anyone cares since mostly everyone quit or has already done everything and moved on.
