To be fair, his case was 6/6/6/6/6 builds, not aimbotting as Jay stands haccused here. Tnly thing N7 Link had going for was slightly better survivability. And you don't clear Gold and Platinum solos just because you got a bit more health, PC cheatings doesn't necessarily equate to everything else done by the same player to be completely invalidated. Good players can cheat too.




That said, I return to my initial stance:

We talked about it long before. When you were worshipping your Jay and making clubs for him. 

If he ever gets back and puts his videos back himself - I'm gonna make a side-by-side comparison with an aimbot. 

Jay does not play the game anymore so that will not happen. Leave the dead be.

I agree with Stardusk.

It's not even half funny because Jay is long gone, and debating non-existent entities is awkward and confusing.

All that threads such as this accomplish is a parade of vulgar "I told you so"-es. I'm not in position of educating anyone, but seeing Annomander insulting Deerber (both of whom I like) isn't something I'd like to see often.

I can just pray that the next ME MP won't have any kind of PvP. I think that it would hurt this community - of which I still speak of as a group of intelligent and entertaining people - to a great extent, starting with creating various clans and tournaments. The 'elitism' of the Spectre club would be quadrupled on day one, along with the drama, cheating assumptions and looking down on each other.

As for the video itself - for me it's as clear as day the aim isn't natural, but as I don't see Jay posting here, nor did I play with the man, I don't give a damn. I wouldn't give a damn even if it is legit either.

I'd be more happy if this vid remained in it's cold, private grave where it belongs. It doesn't generate anything positive.

Not hunters. Hunters don't make sound unless they crouch. And the likelidhood of determing the precise location of a target's head using surround sound only is highly unlikely... impossible when you cannot even hear the target at all.

Finally, a PC player who has FPS experience giving his opinion. I find it really funny, that all the people who've never ever seen an aimbotter before in an FPS game, have such an informed opinion.

From what I learned of this whole experience, that similar to every other PvE community out there... people are amazingly naiive.

I honestly don't care. The last time this came up in Anno's Hall of Drama thread, Jay had a pretty weak defense for himself and really only he knows for sure if he was the one aimbotting. It would be pretty f*cking pathetic if he was although I can see how amusing it would be to gather a cult following among a group of players who do not player shooters regularly and can't see the forest for the trees.

I don't care that he cheated either, it was simple enough for me to delete him and never play with him again because he wanted to cheat.

If I got money for every aimbotter who I ever met in UT99, UT2k4 and UT3, I would be pretty rich indeed.

For reference, an aimbot in unreal tournament; missing shots using a 0 error hit scan weapon, putting rest to the myth that if you miss, that means you aren't an aimbotter.

Guys, you do realise that all you've accomplished in the past two pages is argue (and on times insult) each other? It's pretty stupid for legit players to fight over some guy on the internet who did something insignificant (in the grand scheme of life I mean, not calling cheating itself insignificant) a long time ago that no one really should care about anymore.

Just forget about it or as Stardusk said - time to let old stuff die. The whole thing is not even funny, unlike the Link stuff which in fact was pretty hilarious.

I do admit I can't distinguish the two that much. Only other shooter I've played is TF2 and in that I have no bloody clue what I'm doing. Hell I've been systematically ignoring a lot of information about ME3s game mechanics and I've been here since 1 week from launch.

If FPS games usually generate this much drama even WAAAAY after the fact  The community seems something I'd rather not associate with that much. This community is a lot better than what I've seen from MMO communities I've been a part of and as my experience comes from there a lot of cheating mechanics in FPS games go over my head.

Also I don't have an informed opinion really. All I know is that the music sucks and I will take every single chance I get to rail against dubstep. It's just useless bass and annoying noise. Kinda like what the AMK kids blast through their stereos in their cars and annoy the living hell out of people who want to goddamn sleep. Least they have the bloody sense to sometimes play moomin music.

Yeah, why do you think I am writing in this topic?  But it could be like fun/crazy boredom topic instead of let's insult each other one.

P.S. I also take your heart your insult to dubstep, Ziegrif! There are some good artists/tracks, most of them quite old now, since the new stuff is just the same wubwubwub.

Criteria for what I think is good is something that doesn't sound like it's just a jumble of sounds, has an actual melody and rhytm to it, is not obnoxious in its use of dubstep has small uses of it that actually complement the track and does not use dubstep as a crutch where they can't think of anything melodic so they just spam dubstep like it was some sort of substitute for creative catchy melodies. I think this might be close to what I think is a good use of something similar to dubstep and only song I've managed to like that has something similar to dubstep.

I'll try to keep an open mind and listen the tracks through wholly, here's your chance to torture me.
