Paragades need not apply. Renagons allowed as long as they wear their angry face.
Your Renegade Shepard just took control of the reapers. How screwed is the galaxy?

If I ever had a Renegade he'd probably only be ticked off due to how everyone keeps killing each other. As such, he'd likely go for an improved version of the harvesting, going more along the lines of the plans of the original Leviathans.
So... maybe not so screwed.

Unless you'd like to headcanon differently than what's shown on the screen, it would really not be too bad them, IMO.
Renegade Cata!Shep has the right mentality for fighting a major galactic menace, like any Shep that took this pick.
He has the right idea. The Paragon equivalent does not. If the former cannot protect the galaxy, it cannot be done.

My renegade Shepard taking control isn't a bad thing. She was more of a by any means needed kind of girl. She was a renegade because she had a **** your feelings let's get it done attitude and not an evil persona.

Well the galaxy came really close. The "Terminator" Irina Shepard thought about control, but had made a promise to return to Liara, and Destroy was the only choice where Irina would have a chance at survival.
See Irina would do things like... tell the fleet to "focus on Sovereign" rather than "let the council die".... She had Liara and Garrus in her party. Liara, loyal as a puppy dog, saw it through her paragon eyes "A sacrifice for the greater good!" But Irina saw it as a chance to give humanity an edge, but didn't want to screw up a good thing.
And she'd do these horrible things, but buy Liara these nice things. I'm sure our Shadow Broker knew what was going on.
Just imagine the Galaxy governed by Stalin and you have the picture. You lucked out by her picking destroy.

This kind of Shepalyst wouldn't take chances, I suppose. Things like giving the Krogan a chance, when simple probability dictates that they'd likely go on another rampage, or releasing the Rachni when 100% of contact with them has been hostile wouldn't happen. Which isn't much different from the Catalyst initiating the Harvest because Synthetics have attacked Organics or vice versa 100% of the time.
Depends on how much Shepalyst decides to act within the galaxy itself. If it's only intention is to guard against external threats, no problems, but if it actually intends to micromanage the people within the galaxy, they're pretty damn screwed, is how screwed they are.

"And the synthetic rebellion, has been foiled. The remaining AI will be hunted down and defeated!"
"Members of the Citadel Council, the defeat of the reapers has left me scarred, and transformed. But I assure you, my resolve has NEVER been stronger"
"In order to ensure security and continuing stability, the Galaxy will be reorganized into the First Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society".

Renegade Shepard punches a defenseless reporter for asking too many questions...not a person I really want to give nearly unlimited power. Renegade control would be my least favorite ending.

Lionel Shepard: I am the supreme lord and master of this galaxy, you puny insects are but playthings to me. The sole purpose to you entire existence is mere to my entertainments. You live when I say live, and you will die only if I allow it!

Whatever is left of it after she is done with anyone that annoys her and got kicked out of windows etc. Now whole planets could get that treatment.

The human race would be the leaders of the Galaxy and even then my Shep would be the undisputed ruler of all. A God that must be worshiped and his appointed leaders must answer to him. He decides who is to rule what planet and since he had enough of people playing politics while the galaxy burns any and all resistance will be squashed permanently.

About as screwed as with the paragon controllers. The personality is not transferred, only the memories. The new AI is a different entity based on those memories. It's like moving an AI to a new quantum blue box.
We can see this in the EC ending.
As for how screwed exactly? Quite. Absolute power for eternity: something's going to go wrong eventually.
