Hi there Forum users - um, I beat Dragon Age Origins recently and am almost finished with the Awakening DLC, and I'm wondering which version of Dragon Age II I should buy. My Dragon Age Origins is a PS3 copy, but the main draw to play Dragon Age II is to party with Felicia Day in Mark Of The Assassin.

Now, should I buy the Xbox 360 version (which does not have corrupt save issues with that DLC) or should I buy the PS3 version (Acess to system save files)?

Please let me know!

Well, I'd go for PC, but hey. :P

The imports don't really effect DAII since you're in the Free Marches and following this refugee called Hawke -- but it might ruin your immersion a bit if King Alistair comes up and you're like "But I had you executed!". Won't ruin too much though, but maybe later games will have a larger effect. Or maybe they won't.

You might want to have a look at the pre-built histories. "Hero of Ferelden" is the stereotypical "good" playthrough, Human Noble making Alistair sole king, siding with Harrowmont, and, of course, taking the Ultimate Sacrifice.

"Martyr" is that harsher good, perhaps a better one depending on your perspective. Dalish elf who destroys the anvil (by persuading Branka it's wrong to use) and all that jazz, but also brings together Alistair and Anora, appoints Bhelen, and spares Loghain. Ultimate Sacrifice.

"No Compromise" is your general ****** playthrough. Spares Loghain for seemingly a way to exile Alistair, sacrifices Loghain against the darkspawn, persuades the werewolves to kill off the Dalish, etc. Also sides with Harrowmont, because this playthrough is a Dwarf Noble.

Thanks for the advice, Mr. Maniac! I would probably go PC if I had the opportunity to do it all over again - but I'll probably risk the PS3 version since I put so many hours into DAO already and I want it to reflect my Warden's decisions.

PC actually has a "make your own save" mod somewhere.
