I'm not sure about the DA and AJA on one team, they share 2 powers. For me, the more ragdoll, the merrier. So it could be Krodept with a Lifting Shockwave and Barrier detonations, Smashdept for Lash and Singularity, DA for Pull and Cluster lulz and one of the Asari, because Asari.

Bodies floating through the air are the best bodies.

 

Floating or not it's good for me. I just miss the booms and the massive staggers. 1 Atlas would be a death trap to 5-6 Troopers. :lol:

Maybe fury is to blame?
All adepts need squad for maximum effeciency.. while Fury just boom things herself too much...
Also Warp.. that damn dodgable warp....

Sounds like bad luck to me, even when I pug I get biotic death squads pretty frequently.

That is still the most fun way to play the game. We had a game like that last weekend with an N7 Fury (me), an Asari Valkyrie (friend #1), an N7 Slayer (friend #2) and another Biotic character (PUG) that I cannot remember anymore. We ended up playing against Reapers on Glacier (on Gold). It was really great. There were so many explosions that friend #1 felt dizzy afterwards.:D

Always 2-3 techies or infiltrators or soldiers.


Yes. I played a game as the Asari Huntress earlier. Fortunately that character isn't depending on Biotic Explosions that much because the Geth Engineer was spamming Overload.

You can thank Fagnan and team for the lack of Biotic boom squads. When he decided to make banshees/phantoms/praetorians have biotic immunity with bubble shields and what knots.

partly, but not as much as the Fire Explosions update which gave everybody quicker and more reliable Fire Explosions via Incendiary Ammunition.

I hear ya AQ. I miss the raw team synergy that came with biotic death squads. The sound of a biotic explosion is always so reassuring.

Vanilla Asari Adept is still one my favorite classes... In the old days AA,AJA+DA was the best way to beat the Reaper on Gold...

I try to get people to do this when I'm playing in the AHF
all Biotic
all tech
or some other theme
It is way more fun
when I pug now I'm running though all the kits and using the weapon they have in their hands on the character selection screen
Turian Soldier w/Grall? Hell yes!

Every once in a while I get one in a pug. If I see at least 2 biotics, I'll usually switch to one. Sometimes the last person will as well.

Sad thing is I don't think I actually ever experienced a full biotic shock squad team.
I guess it never crossed my mind to suggest it to my origin friends.

 I don't miss them at all. Because I do them regularly with friends. Yesterday we even chased away a pug who didn't want to switch from engineer. Well, I did. I told him if he could please change to a bio class since we wanted an all-bio team. He ran away. Apparently, I am scary. :lol:

D-D-Double Post!

But no seriously, I blame the Fury. Her rapid-fire BE's are most likely the reason for the BE nerf prior to Earth, making Adepts less popular almost right off the bat.

The final nail in the coffin was the ridiculous buff to Techies. I mean, they've already got ammo that primes, three types of explosions, and almost every kit that isn't biotic has tech powers of some type. BW should've kept the biotics > tech, seeing as how tech is much more common anyway.

I had such a match yesterday with an AJ (me), DA, huntress and biotic charging slayer. Lots of explosions. It was fantastic.

We dont see such squads anymore because the weapon and grenade classes achieve more individual xp/damage and so are preferred.

Autumn next time we play we'll strongarm Reven into doing it.  He's just a bit freaky in that he doesn't get Asari. :blink:

My favourite team would be Collector, Justicar, Valkyrie and Volus Adept. No grenades, just powers. Valkyrie primes anything close by with AF, Collector primes the rest with DS and DC, Volus Adept spams Stasis and the Justicar detonates it all with Area Reave.
Also, this team is almost tanky.
