 Ok in 2 I romanced thane, in three I want that person to pick up on the me1 romance of kaiden.

so I want to know when do you pick up on your romance with Kaiden, is it after or before thane dies?  I want to stay thanes until I do his funeral.  Can I do that or do I have to pick up on my romance with Kaiden before then?

I might have to do multiple saves....

It's the second Visit to Kaidan while in the Hospital.  Talk to Thane to get him to rescue the Councillor, and purchase the wine bottle from the Sirta store in Huerta during your first visit (He's unconcious, but will be told of it later).  Use only Paragon responses.

During the second visit you'll give him the the bottle automatically.  Be appologetic to Kaidan, and it should resume the romance.

Don't know, however, if this will affect Thane's appearance in the Citadel DLC.

Oh, this means separate saves and replaying a big part of the game over... Oh we'll at least I know now!

Actually, you won't "lock in" Kaidan's romance until the Dinner date on the citadel. so you have to not meet with Kaidan until you finish the DLC and get thane's funeral.
