Would you buy a next-gen console just for DA:I?-PS: No need to reply to say you're a PC gamer.

If nothing else interested you, would you do it?

To me, the only games I'm interested in playing for next-gen consoles are TES, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dark Souls(or games of that type by From Software), Borderlands and Dragon Age games(or really, any game bu BioWare). However, considering most games I mentioned won't be seeing any sequels for 2 years-at best-, I can say for sure that I'm not gonna  be able to play DA:I for a while.

I'm just not someone who buys new consoles and new releases as they come. I just don't do that, because I can't afford it, and it sucks..

It's like people saying "tl;dr". What is the point of that post? I'll never know..

Not *solely* for DA3, no, but if it were exclusive to next-gen I'd give serious consideration to buying a new console at the end of this year and a couple of the new next-gen games (particularly Ubisoft's Watch Dogs, AC4, etc) to help justify my decision.

Would I buy a new console for DA3? No.

Will I dish out a lot of money because I fear DA3 will make my current PC explode? Yes.

I would buy it in anticipation of other games I like being released. Dragon Age is not the only IP in the world that I'm interested in, it's not even the IP I'm the most interested in.

Anyone who buys a console for a single game is certifiably insane. Luckily I do not have to deal with this dilemma. #pcmasterrace

I probably would get said console way earlier then normal, for DA:I. Cause I normally wait a year or three before upgrading (not with the vita or 3DS though.. got both nearly at launch. D: )

The reason I wait though is that it normally takes that long for anything to come out that I'd even want to play. :/ RPGs are apparently not worth having in the launch line up.

I will probably play the game on my current PC, but if it struggles, I will buy a GPU. I can run Battlefield 3 quite well, which is the only recent Frostbite game I've played.

If it's JUST developed for Next-gen? Na, there's no point in buying a new console until it's games are truly "NEXT-GEN" experiences. For me, I'm kind of jaded from the "Uniformity" of current AAA games. "A TPS/FPS/RPG has to have this, this & this and play like blah, blah or blah" or even Bio RPG's that now have this... striking resemblance to each other. I'd just rather have each team try out different Role-playing mechanics, both in presentation & in how the player interacts with them.
Anyway, I'd have to see something really unique to the new hardware for me to justify shelling out for a new system.

I bought my PS2 solely for Okami, so DA3's awesomeness at this point in time would have to be equal to Okami's awesomeness from years ago. That said, there isn't a PC version for Okami, so I couldn't play it if I didn't dish out the money for a console. You can make of that what you will.

It would indeed be cheaper for me to invest in a little more RAM (if need be) and a new graphics card (again, if need be) than bankrupt myself with a next gen console right now. :?

guys i have a question what do you do with old consoles?
i mean i can sell video adapter or sound card or hard drive. many of those parts will be used in office pcs one day.
what do you do with outdated consoles? i mean console is a junk as it is but is it becomes junk literally?

You can sell the console or its parts, and many governments offer recycling programs that accept consoles to reuse the electronics. I'd check with your local government, but this *really* isn't the place for a big discussion :P

It depends on what uses you have for your old console(s). You could sell off parts or recycle it (them), as ElitePinecone said or, considering that backwards compatibility has been abandoned, if I were attached to a game that I can play only on an old console, I would keep it. Like I said, I love Okami to bits and would be terribly sad if I couldn't play it ever again.

Normally I either give mine to a family member that might want it to either replace a broken one or didn't bother to buy one. Otherwise I just sent it to my local electronic recycling depot.

As far as would I buy a next generation console for Dragon Age: Inquisition is that I won't.  I have learned with my PS2 and 360 that buying a console for a single game is just too expensive especially at launch.  I also own a reasonably powered PC and since most games are cross-platform I don't need to have multiple platforms for games anymore like the xbox and PS2 era.

yeah i know in Turku for example, also every house have a different trash cans.

i never had a console, even dandy or sega.
