Rodia, do you mind updating the title to say "PC Gamers Need Not Respond" in it?

If there was zero chance of you EVER buying a console, then no one cares if you would have bought a next gen one or not.

Normally, I wouldn't care. But when half of the responses in this thread are from PC player saying consoles, in general, are not what they like, then I'd say it may warrant the title update.

Done. You meant because the responses were redundant and annoying, right?

I'm part of the PC Mustard Race so I'm fine on all fronts as I have a wiiU for Nintendo exclusives.

(The title edit only invited me in further)

I'm a PC gamer and I'm replying BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT!

But to answer the question, no I would not. I actually kind of did so for Final Fantasy XIII--but it was more borrow the console from a friend than buy it myself. I would not have bought one at full price just for the game.

No for DA:I, but yes for the next Mass Effect, unless it turns out to be a FPS or something else equally awful.

No, I don't by next gen consoles for just one game.I usually wait a year or two for them to work out the bugs in the systems and for more games to be made. I will eventually get a next gen console not sure which one, usually go Playstation but may switch to XBOX this time. If it doesn't come out on this generation consoles, I might buy the pc version if it can handle it, but I prefer to play on console.

Considering I have already save up money for the next gen, then yes, I will buy it with the first interesting game.

I don't see why anyone would care if I bought any kind of console.

But since I'm already replying to this topic.
Personally I'm a PC gamer and if I'd buy a next-gen console, it wouldn't be for DA:I. It probably wouldn't be for any one particluar game.

I'm an XBox player and would certainly buy the next generation console for DA:I.

If DA:I were coming out exclusively on PS4, though, then no. I'd tear my hair out & cry, but I am not spending that kind of money.

If I ever get DA3, I'll get it for PC.

I'll buy a PS4 for my Japanese games however.

I'm getting a PC soon unless the next xbox looks good, but I wouldn't do it solely for DA but for all the other pc games/mods I wantz as well.

If DA3 was exclusive to next-gen consoles, I'd get a console for it, yes.  (I assume it's coming out to PC's as well though.)

It was indirectly confirmed. Mike Laidlaw said on Twitter that they'll reveal PC requirements at a later date.

Even if I'm a PC gamer, I do own a PS3. And... no, DA:I is not a title that could convince me to upgrade to next-gen. I'm not excited about DA:I and maybe that's for the best and I will enjoy the game more if I play it.

The only next gen title I'm a little excited about is Watch Dogs and I don't know if I would upgrade for it. When I bought a PS3, it was because I wanted to play Red Dead Redemption.

If nothing else interested you, would you do it?

To me, the only games I'm interested in playing for next-gen consoles are TES, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dark Souls(or games of that type by From Software), Borderlands and Dragon Age games(or really, any game bu BioWare). However, considering most games I mentioned won't be seeing any sequels for 2 years-at best-, I can say for sure that I'm not gonna  be able to play DA:I for a while.

I'm just not someone who buys new consoles and new releases as they come. I just don't do that, because I can't afford it, and it sucks..

It's like people saying "tl;dr". What is the point of that post? I'll never know..

As a console gamer myself I never buy a new console just for one game. I need at least 3 games that make me go "WOW!" or the console has to be able to have ablilty to play other media like my PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360 were all are good DVD players and my PS3 is my Blu-Ray player.

So will I buy a PS4 and/or Xbox verson 3 just to play Dragon Age III and nothing else?
My answer is no.
If it's going to be a next generation lanuch title it will be an extra insentive for me to upgrade to the new systems but it won't be the only reason why I will do it.

My rig is already next-next gen, so shrug.
Anyway I bought the 360 for the fist Mass Effect, but I got so sick of it that I sold it a month later. Then the waiting game began as I was waiting for the PC release.

I'm a gamer, I have a gaming PC as well as consoles. I plan on buying the PS4 as soon as it comes out. Not for DAI however, gods willing it will actually be a decent PC game, and not a port. The only thing I play on consoles are console exclusives, Dragons Dogma for example.

I have never, nor would I ever, buy a console for a single game. There have actually been several console-exclusive titles that I wanted to play in the past, but then I thought, "Hmmm... $400 for console, plus $60 for each of these games ... I'm paying $640 for 4 games? What a rip!"

That's why, although I do still own an X-Box 360, I am primarily a PC gamer now. (The X-Box has been relegated to "Netflix machine").

No because David Gaider and his team suck, DA2 was terrible...

But I would gladly buy a PS4 or Xbox 3 for Mass Effect 4 for sure.

Well, I bought a 360 for Mass Effect, and am actually picking up a PS3 tomorrow because it finally has an exclusive I absolutely have to play (Dust514). So yes, I'd be inclined to say I probably would, although I'm mainly a pc gamer these days.

Same here, traded in my ps3 actually. I was so disappointed with the ps3 version of ME2, and I missed ME1 anyway. But I don't think I'd buy a ps4 for DA:I, even though I do plan on getting a ps4 around launch, so I'd grab it. But it's not the reason I want one.

Probably, considering I bought a PC gaming laptop just for SWToR. I had always used my Mini Mac for WoW and SWToR was only coming out for PC, obviously, though, I can use the laptop for much more.

The bigger problem in my household is how many. Right now we have 3 limited edition XBox 360's, which have served well on most occasions, GoW and Halo i.e., however, with Dead Island we needed to borrow another XBox 360 along of course with 4 copies of the game itself. I mention this because if the XBox is not backwards compatible as the PS4 is being already confirmed as such, (currently we have 2 PS3's) then, I don't know. How many before one says enough is enough?

If the PC version doesn't have gamepad support (even though almost every game on both PC and consoles does have it), I'd be mighty tempted to pick up a next gen console before I play DA3. If the PC version has gamepad support, I'll be happy to play the PC version even though I played DA 1 & 2 on the PS3.

I see DA:I being a current gen and next game, but if it was only a next gen game I would go out a buy the ps4.

Sure, why not? ^_^

I bought a 360 just so I could play Oblivion, so I would certainly buy next-gen to play DA:I if it is necessary.

The only thing I don't know (at this point) is which console I would purchase. There just isn't enough info about PS4 or the Nextbox for me to make any kind of informed decision yet.
