It can edit methods (though almost all MP ones are locked by a patch), I don't think it can repack entire pcc's though. It can decompress them and be edited. PCC is just a different name for a udk file.Riccoshot wrote...

Apparently nobody here knows about ME3Explorer.
I know, but is there's a function to repack files back into edited/newly created .pcc?
Say me please, if i don't know or understand something

Are we supposed to guess how they configure objectives and spawn points?

This is clearly not possible, UE is highly customisable because the engine's own scripting language; the ME3 UE devtools have completely unique classes for handling pretty much everything that makes ME3 what it is.

Yeah, but the option of using existing maps / assets as a template and building new maps around them is still there.

The only thing we have to work with is bytecode, and I'm pretty sure it's indexed and aligned, which means the only thing we could make is something smaller than what already exists.Annomander wrote...

And nobody wants to write a map through bytecode, that would be impractical. You might as well write a forttran compiler in assembly.

Femshep tipped me that there's at least one person who has access to a full UE3 dev kit, and that it's all standard map editing. The free version of the UDK doesn't cut it, and the EULA says its not allowed to edit other companies IP.Annomander wrote...

So while it is possible, we don't have tools to do so. And no, UE3 is not available for purchase. Even if it was, you'd be forking over 6 figures for a copy, minimum.

PM Eric Fagnan. At the very least, they could put the pcc files up for download, and we can install it ourselves.
Ask Sonny if he can put the files up on a website like mediafire so we can download them.

Just PM'med to Eric because Sonny tell me to ask him, he's former bioware employee and don't have this files by himself.

It may well be he created them under contract, so Bioware have the final say, not him.
Would be great if we could actually get a response about it though...
It's a huge shame to let a map go to waste, particularly one that uses a texture set we've not seen in MP yet.

Highly doubtful it could be released given the EA overhead, but that'd be an amazing course of action if they released the files and were like no warranty and you'll get banned for cheating etc.
1*10^-77777 chance though.

A part of me is hoping that they will not give you this pcc, because i'm a console player and i would be jealous. But i really really really hope this things ends well, with the PC users able to play on a new map. Good luck, friends :C
I don't know about you, but it would be a strong incentive for me to join the Master Race.

FemShep knows how to add maps from packages, and could possibly shove it into an existing DLC but nobody knows how to add entries to PCConsoleToc.bin so we'd still be screwed.

Perhaps the factor of EA in the equation does add a few digits to your equation, but BioWare has done some fantastic things for fans of older properties in the past. (While I do not know the details, there was what I believe was a fan-run online game, Dark Sun Online using Neverwinter Nights as the core.)
It's possible, but still not something I am expecting.

Taking screenshots is miles easier on xbox than PC due to the controller design, and since its the lowest denominator in terms of performance that you must test against.Sylux177 wrote...
