Wallhack and an AoE stagger. What more could you want? Maybe a rookie might struggle because they don't know how to play it, but that kit is nowhere close to 'well-balanced' and I can't take seriously any suggestion that it is.
Durability. Put the average pug on a GI and throw him at the enemy and all you're gonna get back is a pile of scrap metal.
If you want only characters that everybody can't steamroll the enemy with the GI is one of them, because his durability does require that you actually know how to play him.
Or that you have an endless supply of Cyclonic Modulators.
Sure. But if you know how to play him it's just stupid. GI isn't even playing the same game as 95% of the rest of the kits.

None of the drells. I mean, they're my fav kits and I play drell adept half the time, but they're weak as kittens health/shield-wise.
Probably asari vanguard with a wraith (choke, HVB) + phasic or disruptor, grenade gear and cyclonic or power amp. She's good across all ranges with her gun & powers. Decent against shield & armor. She basically has 3 emergency buttons: stasis, grenade spam & BC.
Human Adept isn't bad either, just loses on survivability to the asariguard.

always use a cyclonic 4 on your vorchas/drell
its the only way

Are you calling the Drell underpowered? Because I think most would agree now that they truly are glass cannons; high damage output, low survivability. At worst, they're well-balanced. Many consider them all OP.Shyde01 wrote...

They are actually, in my opinion, really well-balanced and good kits. I've heard people moan that they are underpowered but it's really not so.
Yes, of course, if you put an AA in a team with 3 competent GIs with Javelins... she ain't gonna kill a lot... but that's not an issue with the AA kit.

Maybe the Vorcha Soldier, too. Melee/Caster builds with him have been some of the most fun I've ever had.

Nah, not like the GI. Nothing else has his combination of RoF, accuracy, AoE stagger power, wallhack, and raw damage bonuses.
I'm not claiming the GI is game breaking, because as you say he won't make a bad player good. But once you figure out how to use him effectively, he pretty much removes most of the challenge from the game and makes a lot of other kits obsolete.

TGI is much worse though, as you have even better staggering, shield stripping (GI lacks this entirely), long-duration multiplicative AR buff, insane HP/shields, endless free ops packs and similar dmg output.
AIU is in the same boat.
As for the topic - Tsent, Human Adept. Drells are OP when I use them.

My point is that once you know how to use anything effectively most of the challenge from the game is gone.
There's also a point to be had in the idea of "well balanced" being completely subjective.
Some people might say the HFI and QFI are not well balanced, while I would disagree =P

Cinnamon is a very subjective thing.
Though it's objective fact that Cinnamon is awesome.

Hurricane X with AP ammo III or IV. Slay mooks AND make bosses cry sweet, delicious tears.
The Cabal is rapidly becoming my second favorite kit, with Phoenix Adept a solid third, as far as my Ultimate Top 3 Super Awesome Fun/Carrying Time kits go.
