I name my Turian Soldier "Tutu", my Turian Sentinel "TuSen" and my Turian Havoc "Havoc". Creativity was never my strong suit.

I have a habit of giving proper names to my characters. In fact, my human characters especially have this treatment (i.e. Robert DeVries, Afshan Al-Thani, Rachel Runquist).

I also named my TSol Volkan Solarius just for the heck of giving Roman-esque names to Turians.

And yes, I need to get out more.

My Turians are given Roman sounding names: Cassius, Brutus, Cicero, Sanguinius and Aquila (Cabal).

My Geth are given military group names in honor of Legion; Phalanx, Regiment, Batallion, Platoon

My Asari are given names synonymous with 'blue' and ending with an 'a' as all Asari names seem to do: Sapphira, Cyana, Marina, Cerulea, Navia

My female Quarians are just given pun names: Tahn'Drapaya (Tundra Pyre), Hakhen'Zlash (Hack and Slash). The males get Firefly references: Jein'Khobb (Jayne Cobb) and Chenov'Koman ( chain of command)

My Krogan are named after the Ninja Turtles.

I named my Batarian Soldier " Uglybataguy ".

Yes all have proper names. My SI is called bughead. My SE is called 1 and my vorcha hunter is called Duh. None of them have complained to me that their names are improper

Yes I name all my characters. Had one named "B" for a while and hated it so much that I went and invented a real name for him.

I name all humans after friends. Everyone else has names that fit lore.

My Adepts are the only characters with which I reference IRL stuff. They all elaborate names starting with "C", except my N7 Fury who is called "Frank".

Soldiers are characters from Planescape Torment
Engineers are characters from Dark Souls
Sentinels are characters from Catch-22
Infils - Fallout:New Vegas
Vanguards - Devil May Cry

Yeah, I try to give my characters names that would fit their species. Except the geth. For the geth, I just mash 1 and 0 a few times and that becomes their name. I figure it makes sense to them.

I gave them real names for a while, but then I ended up renaming all two a single space.

Yeah I see run through online all the time most just name their Geth Trooper as "GethTrooper" or something like that.
Was curious to see how many others used "proper" names for their characters.
There's been some awesome examples, that's for sure.

My Volus Vanguard is named YOLOSWAG. Guess that's it,

My basic humans are all couples (last name referring to the class), the N7 humans in their class are their child with their first name coming from the original 6 power rangers (family that slays together, stays together). We have:
- Mr. & Mrs. Splosion + Kim Splosion
- Mr. & Mrs. Frag + Jason Frag
- Mr. & Mrs. Drone + Billie Drone (Billy was the only one I could feminise)
- Mr. & Mrs. Shields + Tommy Shields
- Mr. & Mrs. Sneak + Trini Sneak
- Mr. & Mrs. Nova + Zach Nova

Each character of each class has the colour scheme of the power ranger's name they contain.


AIU = ****** 2000 (orginally "Boobie Bot")
Collector = Husky
Vorcha names are Spanish, Batarian Names are Italian, Krogan names are Polish (beginning with Urdnot).
Asari, Drell, Volus, Turians & Salarians names "sound" like the theme of their respective races.
Geth are "Pyro/Prime/Trooper/Hunter Unit"

Names matter, unless you're ex-Cerberus.

As for my characters, I always give them legitimate names. 
My current character (Turian Cabal) is named Sylus Kryik. (....This one should be obvious)
Batarian Sentinel is named Strelok. (STALKER reference) whereas other Batarians all get single names to fit the trend.
Geth characters are usually given names of "Unit #####" 
Quarians all get names in their type. "Name'Lastname" 
Turians commonly recieve names in the Roman style to fit their culture.
