 Hi guys :)

Having completed ME3 and filled myself full of Multiplayer, I decided to return to ME2. I prefer everything about it, but mainly I think I generally prefer the cover based combat mechanics of ME2, rather than the running and gunning, ladder climbing, combat rolling all action spectacular of ME3. Just a personal preference really.

Anyhoo, I've thought about creating a fully pro-Cerberus Shepard, and was wondering how this would play out. For example, making renegade choices when interacting with Salarians, Krogan, Asari etc, and paragon choices when speaking with humans. Something like that. Also, maybe just taking Miranda and Jacob on all/most missions. A biotic (see below) would synergise well with them.

But since Cerberus re-made Shepard via the Lazarus project, I was thinking that his/her class should reflect that. After all, we all give Shepard a class based on what we would like...but if the decision was purely story-based, what implants would Cerberus give Shepard if it was up to them?

I'm thinking that they would make him a biotic. Cerberus seems to like biotic humans. For example -

 - Miranda and Jacob are both biotics.

 - Jack was captured and tortured at Pragia by Cerberus, suggesting they have an interest in studying biotics in humans.

 - In ME3 Cerberus targeted Grissom Academy in order to capture the biotic students and (preumably) force them to join their cause.

 - The Collectors have biotic barriers, and as the principal enemy, it makes sense to create someone who can specialise in beating them. As we know, biotic barriers are primarily weak to Warp.

So if it were Cerberus' decision, I think they would make Shepard an Adept, Vanguard or maybe even a Sentinel. For a formidable Cerberus trio an Adept would fill the gap - Miranda is a Sentinel, Jacob a Vanguard, so Shepard should be a pure Adept.

Thoughts?:wizard:

Cerberus is in favour of any modifications that can benefit humanity. So implanting people with biotics and **** is one of their favourite things. Personally, were I in charge of Cerberus, Shepard would be made a vanguard -- because vanguards are totally awesome.

Although, obviously, in-game they don't want to alter Shepard at all. So odd possible class change, I guess.

Actually, I think that Cerberus enhanced Shepard during the Lazarus project. There a line that goes something 'I noticed a few upgrades' when Shep is talking to the Illusive Man. So I think that Cerberus could rebuild Shepard with whatever enhancements they like. I think its Shepard the hero and icon that is the important thing.

So I made a Cerberus focused Shepard. I've just breezed through Freedom's Progress as an Adept. I'll be taking Miranda and Jacob in most missions, maybe Jack too. But mainly just humans, so Zaeed will be good too. I'm picking all dialogue options that support Cerberus (mostly renegade), and that alienate other species. For example, I insisted that Veetor is taken by Cerberus for questioning, and rejected the Quarians help when talking to Tali.

I've also coloured my armour in white, black and orange, which makes a nice change from my usual all black colour scheme.
Next up, Mordin's recruitment where Miranda and Jacob are perfect squadmates. Go team Cerberus!:wizard:

What's your plan for the Suicide Mission? Kill all non-Cerberus... kill all non-humans... :P

Or just, you know, leave everyone alive. But that's no fun.

I'll keep everyone alive, its in Cerberus' interest to defeat the Reapers, so having everyone committed and focussed by being loyal is the best way to do that.

But for the critical recruitment and Collector missions I'll only take approved Cerberus operatives, of course. :)

I always play as a fairly pro-Cerberus Shepard.  My Shepard is a soldier though.
