Having completed ME3 and filled myself full of Multiplayer, I decided to return to ME2. I prefer everything about it, but mainly I think I generally prefer the cover based combat mechanics of ME2, rather than the running and gunning, ladder climbing, combat rolling all action spectacular of ME3. Just a personal preference really.
Anyhoo, I've thought about creating a fully pro-Cerberus Shepard, and was wondering how this would play out. For example, making renegade choices when interacting with Salarians, Krogan, Asari etc, and paragon choices when speaking with humans. Something like that. Also, maybe just taking Miranda and Jacob on all/most missions. A biotic (see below) would synergise well with them.
But since Cerberus re-made Shepard via the Lazarus project, I was thinking that his/her class should reflect that. After all, we all give Shepard a class based on what we would like...but if the decision was purely story-based, what implants would Cerberus give Shepard if it was up to them?
I'm thinking that they would make him a biotic. Cerberus seems to like biotic humans. For example -
- Miranda and Jacob are both biotics.
- Jack was captured and tortured at Pragia by Cerberus, suggesting they have an interest in studying biotics in humans.
- In ME3 Cerberus targeted Grissom Academy in order to capture the biotic students and (preumably) force them to join their cause.
- The Collectors have biotic barriers, and as the principal enemy, it makes sense to create someone who can specialise in beating them. As we know, biotic barriers are primarily weak to Warp.
So if it were Cerberus' decision, I think they would make Shepard an Adept, Vanguard or maybe even a Sentinel. For a formidable Cerberus trio an Adept would fill the gap - Miranda is a Sentinel, Jacob a Vanguard, so Shepard should be a pure Adept.
Thoughts?
