You're sick of reading my stuff, I'm sure :)

Anyway, I did a quick test using the console. It was simple: Take a character that doesn't have Spellcasting Prodigy and start MotB, thus get autolevelled to 18. I filled all the spell slots with the same spell. That way, if I gain any spell slots, they'll be empty.

Then, I open the console, givefeat 1114 and rest. No new slots.

I retested with a Sorcerer and it worked as per the description, but there was no change to the spellbook with Wizards and Clerics.

Human wizard with 18 INT and no SP gets 2 level 1 slots.

Human wizard with 18 INT and SP gets 3 level 1 slots.

So yes, it works. Maybe you didn't check all the spell levels, or maybe it doesn't work if you add the feat with the console. I don't know, but it works. How high was the casting attribute for each character (INT for the wizard, WIS for the cleric and CHA for the sorc?

Retested with your input. Looks like it's linked to the console. It works for Wizards if taken at level 1 and levelled, but not if added by console.

Odd that it worked for Sorcerers though. Oh well.
