If you have his approval high enough, or have a good enough Coercion, you won't need to duel him.

Ah that's good - elf's got coercion growing nicely and I've gone through Sten's massive Approval buff convo (getting Sten Approves +50) was sweeeeet :)

Well she's trucking along nicely so far and I'm slowly pulling head-canon'ed RP decisions for various actions, especially when I'm Meta-gaming somewhat and trying to justify actions.

She was in love with Tamlen and has felt really sad and lonely after losing him, but by Lothering she was starting to crave intimacy...and that Alistair Shelmen was quite nice, if a bit of a cry-baby so she started hitting on him to the point where she invited him into her tent which he refused - she called him on being a pansy which he didn't take well...so much for that romance ;) Fortunately there's now an attractive red-head whose haughty-taughty attitude split to reveal something my elf rather liked...of course if a certain attractive Elf should come along then my Elf will be leaping on him in an instant.

Through all this though she's still getting antsy so, when visiting the Dalish clan she decided to jump on the pathetic little wannabe-hunter for a quickie then informed Gheyna about it, thinking it was no big deal...how wrong she was and the clan all seemed to disapprove so we've slunk off for now (head-canon excuse for meta-gaming doing other places instead of Dalish for now)

We're back in Ostagar atm (gotta get those Repeater Gauntlets) with Sten, Dog and Morrigan and might nip into Orzammar next to track down Sten's sword and (meta-game) pick up Key to the City before hitting the Circle tower finally (meta-game - for the stat bonuses).

That's where I'm about to have a VERY tough decision - I think we'll be severely disliking Wynne as we can accept that attitude from a respected Keeper but not some haughty mage and really don't want to endure the whole Tower with her (stupid enforced companion) so might blindly attack the mages at the entrance before realising the true nature and ultimately saving Irving (having Sten and Morri at that point will help that decision I think...) however - looking WAY down the line, I'm planning on this character taking the US ending (the grief at Tamlen's reappearance will spiral her into wanting to die) however my understand of the interaction with Morrigan is that she'll leave immediately if you refuse her DR offer (presumably she'll just offer to do it with Al since I'm female - I've only got that far with Males thus far and they've all accepted) which, if I kill Wynne will leave me with no Mage for the entire Final Battle...suppose I can re-promote Sten/Oghren and run a Mageless party but unsure how hard that would make it?

Remember when I said that I don't bother to roleplay the decision to keep Wynne around? It's because she wasn't around for my first time through Redcliffe. I never did that again, and I've never played the final battle without at least one Spirit Healer. It might be a good idea to not do the "mageless party" thing.

Well I'm making Morrigan a Spirit healer when she gets to L14 so that covers most of the game...I'll see how I feel come decision-time I guess...

Thanks for the heads up
