You are an incredibly tedious person. And incredibly unintelligent as well. Never once have I 'raged' or even criticized 99% of the decisions in game. Is this how you react to people your mediocre ideas, by continually whining about them in every post you make? It's very irritating.

I'll make this clear and simple for you. I except choices to be choices. Not coin tosses, and not dice rolls. And your ridiculous litany of "David hates choices in RPGs" is moronic.

You're an annoying rager pretending like your posts have meaning other than you being butthurt over a made up game option.

I so hope that a dev working on the next ME game see the scenario, like it and use it.

I actually have to agree about female characters like cat woman. I haven't seen TDKR yet so I can't judge this Catwoman. However, the Catwomen of the past were all sexed up fan service chicks. Very very rarely will the media show a skilled woman without sexing her up or making her stupid in some way.

Catwoman's appearance would be somewhat described similar to Miranda with her using her sex appeal as a skill

Actually I'd argue that Catwoman was a much better executed femme fatale. After all there are plenty of instances where Catwoman uses her appearance to her advantage. Miranda is set up as a femme fatale, but Bioware never really went anywhere with it. Beyond Miranda reminding Shepard how perfect she looks, her appearance never factors into the game. I think it would have been more interesting if having Miranda in the squad opened up different options in a couple missions, by having her use her appearance distract a guard, gain intel or access a secure area, or to lure someone into an ambush, ect.

I agree with you on that, but that was the only example I could think of at the time lol

Catwoman is one of the best DC characters imo

So I started the Citadel DLC after the Udina Coup. I romanced Ash in ME1 and Miranda in ME2. I'm aiming for Ashley in ME3 and so far i've been pretty good to her. Yet surprise surprise, guess who showed up to ask if i'm having a bad day?

Yup everybody's favorite stalker, Liara T'soni.

Why is still up in my grill? How do I fix this? Should I reload my save and keep playing until I lock in my romance with Ashley at the cafe, or is this an issue with the game itself?

Simple Liara is Biowares pet and a stalker who is worse then the stalker Rose from Two and A Half Men.

Why because they know you hate her that's why.

I like how every instance of a character existing is considered an offence to some person.

My favourite was during the lead up to Leviathan, when there were threads complaining (based on nothing but a few screenshots, incidentally) that Liara and Cortez were being 'shoved down our throats'. When it came out, revealing that those two had no more importance to Leviathan than they would in any other mission, did those people admit that they were wrong? Bollocks they did, instead immediately jumping on EDI and James, who actually did have significant roles.

It's hypocrisy, plain and simple. Especially complaining about it in Citadel, since everybody's special in that one.

Ive never understood the hate for liara in mass effect from some quarters, if you dont like her never take her out to play or talk to her when you arnt required to. Its that simple. But the central fact of the matter is without liara there would be no shepard for mass effect 2 or 3. No matter how you squirm about it the only reason and singular reason shepard is alive is because liara saved you from the collectors and made it able for cerberus to rebuild you.

Actually, Shepard is alive because Bioware needed the PC for the games after ME1. If Liara hadn't been used to get the body then someone else would have been. And they really should've gone with someone who had no potential emotional attachment to Shepard.

Actualy its like that because its written like that. Liara was used todo that and nobody else was. And the only type of person who would go up against the shadowbroker for shepards body would be someone willing to die for shepard which results in them needing that emotional connection.

Or someone who really wanted the amount of money Cerberus could have paid them. Or someone random who idolized Shepard. Or a dog.. or a rock.. or whoever or whatever else the writers decided on.

Or a pig or a quariun high on red sand, doesnt matter. Because it is who the writers decided on. Its what the book is about in concern to this matter. Its the mass effect universe and within the mass effect universe this is how it transpired.

  Have a nice day :police:

"Conrad, how the hell did you get the coordinates for the Shadow Broker's hideout?"

"Well I was digging through some crates for leftover credits and got my hand stuck in something, so I had to pull really hard and-"

As I understand, the original plot had Legion and the Geth Rebuilding Shepard, not Cerberus.

Which does make sense, actually.  Geth don't use money, so credits (or lack thereof) isn't an issue (look at Geth Technology), no emotional attachment whatsoever (when was the last time Legion laughed, anyways?), and extreme patience that only comes from machines.....

....AND Legion going to all those worlds was why?

Not for some Quantum Storage Device or other, that's certain.

Or maybe Conrad could have earned the wrath of the Broker by damaging him with the power of incompetence. :o

"Wait... give me a moment to process this. Are you telling me Conrad LARP'ed his way throughout the Terminus systems and inadvertently created a network for freelance mercenaries?!"

Seriously. Read that fic from the beginning. I'll wait.

Liara is pushed but so is Ash for romances its very clear from the writing if BW had to make cannon things they'd go solider male shep falls for Liara saves everyone in ME2 gets indoctrinated in 3 and picks synthesis so the reapers win. Oh and Liara's goodbye meld was her stealing his code so at the end of the movie we have her giving birth to his daughter for the next movie.

She's a strong character in the game she does wonders as your support for 3 I loved it the writers just wanted a her + shep story so there isn't any sense for them to stop doing so now.

 This thread has been great to read. Thank you all!

I do not hate or love Liara (heck, her auto-dialog is even friendlier than my Speh's LI, Garrus ---damn you Garrus, you're supposed to love my Shep, not cut her off) but Liara can feel a bit flirty/pushy sometimes...

The only real issue I had with Liara was her strange and kind of sudden transformation from ME1 to ME2
But I love the wicked humour. Sorry all Liara fans, I don't mean no harm, but I can't help but laughing at it.

And then, the very long off topic, was fun read, too. No offense to anyone. It's very different when your not in the discussion/argument yourself - then you can giggle at it, otherwise, not so much. ^_^
