I'm telling you guys, Liara has a Shepard Shrine in a secret part of her room.

Like in "Hey, Arnold" cartoon? :D

Lol, Liara must have a Shepard statue in her closet that she regularly makes out with.  Aw, I loved Helga :P

Magic is the obvious answer.

You can message a mod, like Jeff Rousell or a few others, I think, and they'll change it for you.

Or magic. Yeah.

It's just as well they didn't make that Shadow Broker DLC for ME3, if this thread is anything to go by.

Again - Liara is the only squadmate guaranteed to be alive; much easier to give her (or EDI - Vega is busy being Wrex' understudy) the lines than having to write and record dozens of alternatives based on who happenes to be alive in your game

so when liara says embrace eternity, this doesnt make anyone else feel kinda creeped out because thats exactly what the reapers are trying to get us to do?

What?

"Embrace eternity" is an asari colloquialism for mating - they all say it, and have been saying it long before anyone knew about the Reapers. It's just a pretentious way of going "we are sexy space babes, commence shagging".

Not sure if trolling or just really stupid - it's they mystic ritual that accompanies the mind meld (Shiala, non-sexual melds with Liara, etc). It's probably not too different from the advanced communication the protheans are using.

Too bad anybody who didnt romance a squadmate is stuck with her and her flirting, no matter our distaste or disgust.

What amazes me is. I always thought Ash was Shepard's LI before ME3

something happened between ME2 and ME3...was LOSB the key to the change?

Damn...the amount of hate for Liara is just ridiculous.

To each their own...but damn.

The OP even knew what the problem was...as they even stated that they should have probably locked in the romance first.

Instead of doing that and fixing their own problem...they instead decided to post a thread just to hate on Liara.

F***ing absurd.

People who play the Citadel DLC have likely already purchased and played ME3, and probably already know there are romances.

Besides, I was romancing someone and she still flirted with mah Shep.

And now they know "hey, you may want to load an earlier save and lock your preferred romance in first, since the game can't magically divine who you're really courting until you do. This DLC has romance-specific content and you're going to miss out."

And it was a lot cheaper to do this using Liara's already-recorded romance lines than to come up with a brand new way of saying it.

Though I'm well aware the OP was a joke, I never understood the people who claim Liara seems to have feelings for shep throughout the series regardless of how you play. In all my playthroughs with other people as a LI she never seemed like anything more than a good friend which is quite normal for the person responsible for your existence.

I think it's the whole 'obsessing over Shepard's death and wanting to bring them back to life' thing and the way she keeps some of Shepard's clothes in a case in her house that made people suspicious.

The person I was replying to thinks it means "I agree with the Reapers", and you're calling me stupid?

Liara got Lair of the Shadow Broker, Ashley got Horizon. As a result, ME3 could keep building on the excellent writing and character development started with Liara, while it had to spend half of Ashley and Kaidan's screentime cleaning up the awful mess left by the Cerberus railroading.

That said, nobody's 'Shepard's LI' unless you pick it. Contrary to popular belief, there is no 'default' romance path.

And  dispite being a B&%h to her in ME1 she still hits on you. [ unless you don't talk to her.]

and the forced hug  in ME2 [ should have been an intercept]

and the fact she has 2 comics and a DLC....

the barging into the Comander's cabian....

and the Forceed Frindship Banter in said DLC..... [ dispite being a B&^$h to her in ME1] <_<

Never got peoples annoyance at the hug, I mean god forbid you act like a human being to the person responsible for bringing you back to life, and there is no barging into your cabin, she knocks both times and shepard says come in both times, but I suppose you would have liked some juvenile "go away I don't like you!" response.

You mean, you don't have to romance anybody?
