Too bad anybody who didnt romance a squadmate is stuck with her and her flirting, no matter our distaste or disgust.

So I started the Citadel DLC after the Udina Coup. I romanced Ash in ME1 and Miranda in ME2. I'm aiming for Ashley in ME3 and so far i've been pretty good to her. Yet surprise surprise, guess who showed up to ask if i'm having a bad day?
Yup everybody's favorite stalker, Liara T'soni.
Why is still up in my grill? How do I fix this? Should I reload my save and keep playing until I lock in my romance with Ashley at the cafe, or is this an issue with the game itself?
Wow. lol!! The devs will do anything to make Liara "the one". Oh yeah and don't invite Liara to your apartment. I had locked in my relationship with Kaidan but I thought I would be nice and invite Liara over since I was inviting everyone else who wanted to see me. After our convo she mentions that she has a lot of work to do and should leave. There was a dialouge option to ask her to stay and bring her work over and I totally avoided that by picking the second option. Then suddenly Liara was sitting on my couch and asking for her work to be brought up to my place.
Omg really? Why would that dialogue option even exists?
Yeah i'm sure Ashley would be thrilled at the prospect of another woman living in Shepard's aparment instead of her.
She's just looking to add another hangout to her collection of sweet cribs. The Normandy office, the Illium apartment, a gigantic stormship, and now Shepard's pad.Hazegurl wrote...
LOL!! I have no idea why the other option exist if she's gonna camp out anyway and it sucked cause i spent time with Kaidan before her and he didn't even stay.

I'm a Talimancer and I like Liara.
Only problem I have is it should of been your LI who checks on you after your nightmares instead of Liara. I really feel a lot of dislike over Liara is unneeded. The next ME game will likely have someone who people say is BW favorite and pushed on them.

I'm wondering why they forced Joker on me at the sushi bar. What the hell, BioWare?
But I did lock my romance in.Optimystic_X wrote...
And now they know "hey, you may want to load an earlier save and lock your preferred romance in first, since the game can't magically divine who you're really courting until you do. This DLC has romance-specific content and you're going to miss out."Nightwriter wrote...
People who play the Citadel DLC have likely already purchased and played ME3, and probably already know there are romances.Optimystic_X wrote...
Because they had to have someone let new players know that "hey, this game has romances" and she just happens to be attracted to a Shep of either gender.Nightwriter wrote...
Yeah I have no idea why Liara shows up and flirts with you by default if you didn't romance anyone on the ME3 squad. Fans complaining of too much Liara imposition? Impose moar Liara.
There's also the tiny factor of her being the only squadmate who was with you since the beginning that can't die until the very end.
Besides, I was romancing someone and she still flirted with mah Shep.
And it was a lot cheaper to do this using Liara's already-recorded romance lines than to come up with a brand new way of saying it.

Romanced Liara in ME1 as she was prettier, cuter and had more interesting background than Ash. She adds some depth and soft touch to Shepard. Two military people would only go and have a rough sex tbh.
Still, during ME1 I wished to go with Tali and tried that in ME2 when annoyed by how Liara approached my Shep on Ilium (I mean... She seems to love him more than the galaxy, fought for him for more than two years, hoped to give him new life then still remains as a distant friend when they finally met? Didnt got it). I did whole Tali romance and liked it BUT something felt not right, like getting along with my own sisterAlso I couldn't stand her... feet, sry
But anyway, AFTER completing Tali scene, when Liara picture was turned upside down, right before taking on collector base I tried to talk to her again then she asked me to wait again and this time I refused which instantly re-triggered the Liara romance. I then played the Lair, my Shep fall in love with her again and they lived happily ever after when Commander blew Reaper asses to the other part of the galaxy in ME3.
Did anyone encounter similar bug? It was the one i liked though
All and all YES, I'm a Liaramancer, the more blue it gets, the better, as she seems the best throughout romance choice for my Shep with all the sweetness she brings along while being the most balanced as a character, not a overly attached sissy nor self-focused tough chick like Miranda or Ash either.

Liara was the first romance in ME for me and the only problem I have is the really weird distancing she goes through in ME2 and ME3. I mean, she gives Cerberus your body in the hopes of bringing you back and the amount of actual relationship talk in LotSB and ME3 is pitiful considering how much other dialogue she has.

You're saying Liara flirts with you because they couldn't afford to record a single line of alternate dialogue?.

That's true. Maybe they were trying to find a tonal middle ground, so it could be interpreted differently by both parties. Why they would do that instead of just recording another line is the issue, I guess.Nightwriter wrote...
The actual line isn't terribly flirty at all. Definitely more a matter of delivery.

Must be that asari reputation for promiscuity

I can't stand any of those snotty, arrogant blue Seamonkeys. Liara has the brass to complain about the Alliance not providing Air support on Thessia? After the Asari left our butts hanging in the wind through most of the game while sitting on the answer to the catalyst?

I'd prefer to believe they just fucked up, rather than believe they're trying to force a Liara agenda.
