I can't stand any of those snotty, arrogant blue Seamonkeys. Liara has the brass to complain about the Alliance not providing Air support on Thessia? After the Asari left our butts hanging in the wind through most of the game while sitting on the answer to the catalyst?
But Shepard asking everyone to come to Earth wasn't anything like that? And where does it say in canon it holds the answers neededs and that the asari know? We never get to know what information there is for those who don't have the cipher.
Why is Liara being forced on me again? (Citadel DLC)

Ill be cleaning up some blue calamari after Javik is done, blue sludge after Samara, and we can always bring in Jack and just vaporize her.

Definitely. My canon is a soldier, so it's mainly emotional support, but there's enough biotic power in that blue beauty for the both of them.David7204 wrote...
It's true. I'm sure Liara received all her training right from the start from Shepard. A very intimate relathionship, wouldn't you say Zazzerka?

I think people have been spoiled by the amount of control they had over Shepard. Now they want to control every character and everything they do to tailor their experience exactly how they want it.
Exactly. And even Shepard was always less of a blank slate than the Warden or the Bhaalspawn.

The evidence for the Asari not having advance knowledge of the Reapers is Benezia. She knew about the beacon on Thessia, but nothing about the Reapers. Benezia and her followers thought Saren was the real threat, and Sovereign is merely his flagship.

You shouldn't have mentioned that, now we're going to get "BUT LIARA CRYYYYYED ALLLLLL THE WAAAAY THROUGH PRIORITY THESSIAAAAAA!"David7204 wrote...
And of course, the much more subtle psychological lessons that prepare you for combat mentally.
And then someone will give Javik mad props for shutting her down. Seen it all before.

Yeah...it was probably written as a wry joke, but her tone was pretty harsh. I'm okay with that, though. I think a brief display of emotional bitterness in that moment is understandable and humanizing. Most importantly, it feels genuine to me in a way that her ME2 "cold calculations" never did.Steelcan wrote...

After all, she's sacrificed a lot of years supporting Shepard as a crewmate, rescuer, and personal Shadow Broker - time that she could've used to better warn or prepare her people - time she wouldn't have lost had the Alliance not swept everything under the rug when Shepard died.

<data>Exactly. So you see, Commander, the battle over Thessia will be most crucial.</data>
<data>We cannot win it outright. But without the knowledge to defeat the Reapers, no planet will be spared. No rescue will come. No hope will remain.</data>
<data>Then I will divert the Justice and Apex dreadnoughts and their attendant fleets to reinforce the asari at Thessia.</data>
<data>Commander, you have a deal.</data>
<data>[The original turian and salarian councilors wait by the bedside of the original asari councilor.]</data>
<data>Commander. Please come in quietly. Councilor Tevos is sleeping.</data>
<data>We have taken the time to review your evidence against Councilor Udina, and I would like to thank you.</data>
<data>Between that video and Commander Bailey's corroborating evidence, it is clear Udina attempted to overthrow us by violent means.</data>
<data>But at least this puts to rest the debate about throwing fleets at the humans' homeworld.</data>
I wish they had kept this version...it sounds more interesting than what we got.
And if we take the multiplayer storyline as canon...the alliance and Hackett are sending reinforcements to Thessia.

Sending reinforcements to Thessia was an option in an earlier version of the script (Liara's comment is definitely not unreasonable).
