So that's why that javelin GI yesturday was doing such insane amount of damage to them with just one shot. I was like, "Is that kit & weapon setup really that OP?"
YES
YES IT IS

praetorians shouldn't be easier to take down than scions.
They are not, in fact. They're pretty easy, but Scions are even easier. I will agree though that taking into account that they're suppossed to be the real Bosses, Praetorians are too easy.

There was no DR from the bubble. But it does stop you from double hitting without massive piercing, and it stops you from getting headshots (very easy), so it does definitely reduce your weapon damage without that piercing.
Alright, I am very glad to hear that. Since people kept on claiming that the bubble reduced weapon damage, I spent several hours digging through the PCC files trying to find anything regarding that, and never once found a damage modifier either as a variable or hard coded. Now I can stop looking thank god.
Ha, I can relate to this. Since people on this forum speak without the least confirmation of what they're saying. I've been hearing this so much that I started to actually try and notice if the damage of my guns was reduced when they threw up the bubble, but to no avail. Glad to know I don't have to do that anymore.
Seriously, people should stop spreading illogical, stupid rumours without a solid, objective, base.

For what it's worth, you don't need a GI to do that. A Javelin will do insane amount of damage to them on any character. Well, maybe a Geth is better, but the Infiltrator isn't required. A Javelin Trooper can deal with them as easy as a Javelin GI can.

First of all thanks for the tests guys. It is really appreciated, as always. This is important, although quite expected, stuff. Good job as always!Dunvi wrote...

I find praetorians significantly easier to take down. Praetorians can't do any damage to you for a good half of their cycle (scions are always dangerous), they have much larger headshot boxes with very stable movements, and a double hit that involves basically just staring it down. Scions, you have to be on the right axis to be able to get the double headshot hit, and the headshot is smaller and more mobile.

Ah yeah, if you mean how dangerous of an enemy they are then sure, I agree. I was talking strictly about how long it takes to kill them. And even then, the ratio isn't good, Praetorians should be a lot harder to kill than Scions, while they are just a bit harder now.

How much penetration is actually needed for the multi hits?
I believe the standard for double hits on bosses is at least 1m. I could be wrong. Someone please correct me if so.
