When have females ever had non****ty armor in a game?

This. Its vary trendy in most games. Tomb raider has it that way, even the old old versions.

Samus Aran?

Ironically after the armour comes off she becomes blue space catwoman.

You have to keep in mind that the standards of what is considered "sexy" are different for female and male. The Destroyer is definitely sexualized - look at his shoulders and ass (I frequently do ). Real life soldiers don't have that kind of physique, I can guarantee you.Same with male Quarians.

Finding something attractive and sexualized design are two very different things.

To repeat myself: Real life soldiers don't have that kind of physique, I can guarantee you. It IS sexualised, just in a different way to some female kits.

But you know, whatever. I've long ago promised myself to aviod any kind of BSN threads with the word 'female" in the title, so I'm outta here.

Yeah, I don't know if I could stand even more threads about how the Human Female Soldier's armour is so bulky that she's bigger than half the men in the game.

threads like that are so idiotic..i mean..what is wrong with being a buff women?

and she's stronger and can do lots of things that the girls in the pictures i've listed cannot do. your point?

physique isn't everything.. you can be the strongest physique wise and still lose to a person like this:

although Jiu-Jitsu isn't physical strength, it's the only true "Self-Defense". anything else is "Self-Offense"Posted Image

Implying that your point was that highly muscular women can be attractive, then provide an example of a character with little to no muscle definition.

Tifa is also a fictional character not constrained by the limitations of reality.

Because females who are not sexed up don't often make it into video games.
There are the occasional female concepts who make it into games who are not sexed up but their roles are normally of to the side.

all I said was Tifa will kick your arse.. which is my avi. I didn't give suffice indication that I was bringing her up among the "list" of the other attractive muscular women.

and yes, Tifa is a fictional character which means that Tifa's physique shouldn't be compared with the other two girls.

I feel odd that this statement is on the same page that also has a post mentioning Samus Aran.

I'd mention more characters, but you should probably clarify if you're going to tell me that anybody I mention who happens to be attractive is automatically sexualized and I am only allowed to mention the non pretty people.

There's a difference from being attractive and being sexualized.
I'm not aware of this character you have mentioned. I would be interested in looking more into the matter.
Google has been providing me with information.

In the event that's not sarcasm, please ignore Other M. The rest of us already have.

I'd also say something like Kayle from League of Legends, as she's wearing full plate armour(though LoL has its share of terrible examples as well as good ones).

Alyx Vance from Half-Life 2(though she's a side character)

Depending on how you view her fashion choices one might be able to make the argument for Jaina Proudmoore of Warcraft(probably a few others in there, as well as plenty of poor examples as well). Lilian Voss from that series as well, since she's a zombie.

There is plenty I don't know much of. Life is a learning experience.
And a game... full of minigames I have yet to learn of... But anyways.

Is this correct?

Or is this fan made?

There are several points as to why this character is not 'simply attractive'.
This character might have been given justice in earlier years of her depictions. However Presently, the issue of females being portrayed through narrow scopes is happening largely. What might have been isn't what it was. That's why it's a hot topic right now. It's on the rise right now. It's getting to be problematic. We're not barbie dolls. We shouldn't be represented as such.

You'll find a lot of gamers object to Samus' depiction in Other M.

With good reason.

It's really only newer releases that are really taking things to a whole other level of ****.
There has always been crap, sure, but it's in larger supply right now. (or perhaps it is in lesser? I never did get to live through the 70's or 80's. I'm a 90's kid. D:...)

One poor depiction of her, which the devs did catch quite a bit of hate for, doesn't suddenly negate everything else about her.

Also you still have the other characters I mentioned. Add Aveline from Dragon Age 2 onto that, and I'd hardly call Leliana or Wynne from Origins sexed up.

Please explain to me how this is?
Is the character still wearing heels beyond her boyish hairstyle?
(I want to pick up a copy and find this out for myself instead of relying on others to inform me. I think I'll work on getting my mitts on one tomorrow.)

Samus is an early example. At the end of the game she appeared in a bikini if you played particularly well.

Female Human Soldier....totally sexy.

I was in a game with her the other day.

Random guy : "I'm gonna revive him (my soldier)"
Me : "It's her plz"
"I know you're a girl but you're playing the male soldier"
"no it's the female"
"no it's the male"
"female"
"male"
etc

:(

And OT I stopped expecting females to not be overly sexualized in video games. I'm already extremely happy when I can actually play a female.
