I've always loved the Vigil track. Ever since I first heard it after buying Mass Effect for £5 on a whim, I knew i was in for something a little different.
Now, I would never think that simply slowing down a track could make it sound so good. But after hearing Vigil in this way, it immediately made me hope for its use at the beginning of ME4 in some sort of prologue/flashback/recap scene of the previous games at its introduction. It just sounds so nostalgic and reflective, perfectly suited to such a task, and to me it would be a fine start to a new series, assuming the new games are set after the previous's events.
Its probably just a pipe dream, given the difficulty involved in making such a scene suitable. It would have to allow for imports or customisation in some way to create accuracy for each player, which would perhaps be too difficult or take up a great deal of resources, but its certainly something I'd like to see.
Anyone else feel the same way?
