So the dog (Riley) doesn't die at the end?

I'm watching LP on this game and so far he's still alive and well.

And ofcourse, he's the only character that is worth remembering name.
Everyone else might as well be faceless NPC, since they don't even deserve the decency to be called a character.

Indeed, however I did read one article earlier today( don't remember which, sadly) that CoD Ghost will still earn 1 billion USD revenue, according to many analysts.

However, they still claim that profits will be 20% lower that from Black Ops and 10% lover from Modern Warfare 2.
So Activision will still earn a ton of money but loss is still gonna be very noticeable. Especially to their shareholders. If those said analysts are correct.

I don't know,  it has outsold GTA5s day one sales.  I really wish it hadn't,  they need to learn to make a good game and that sales don't mean you've made one. sadly COD is just a brand.

Dear god! At least they still have the fish to show their inovations in technology if they kill off Call of Duty Dog.

No it hasn't. Unless the news changed since I checked last night, Ghosts sold over a billion-

From retailers buying the game. Not from gamers buying it from retailers.

Right, but the "billion in revenue" for GTA V was after its first week, not its first day. There are some sources that are saying actual consumer first day purchases of Ghosts is more than GTA V.

http://www.forbes.co...-day-one-sales/

At the end, you can see where the "sell-in" as it is referred to, is appearing to be higher than GTAV's for the first day.

Yeah, "sell-in"? No one should give a toss about.

Its "sell-thru" that we want to know.

For those unawares,

Sell-in=The amount of money made by selling copies of the game to retailers(Gamestop, Wal-Mart, etc etc)

Sell-thru=The amount of money made by retailers selling copies of the game to consumers

Keep that in mind so Activision doesn't trick you into thinking they're top

Doesn't matter if you made 1 trillion dollars sending your game out to Gamestops and mom and pop shops, if only two people bought your game, it didn't sell as well as you thought it would.

I've never played a single COD game before, but on my course in uni (Games Design) only one guy has bought Ghosts.

Don't know if we are just too hipster.

Wow. You're in game design school and never played a CoD game? They aren't my favorite by any stretch of the imagination, but that's surprising that you are going down the venue of game design and not played one of the most popular franchises on the planet.

Sorry, no judgment or anything. Like I said, I'm not the biggest fan of the franchise (or FPS), nor am I advocating "ZOMG, GO PLAY RIGHT NOW!" It was just a little surprising to me, I suppose.

No words to describe this.

This is what deserves to happen to Infinity Ward for the turd that they have produced and dared to call it a sport

What they really mean is that CoD can't change too much because the designers over at IW are clearly out of ideas and lacking the creativity, passion and imagination that a good game needs.

Can fanboyism really blind people this much? You'd think they'd be at least a large majority of the fans who would awake now and finally see that each CoD is just the same and that they're wasting their money but no. Bioware produces a game that doesn't live up to its predecessor and most fans note this. IW does it and none of their fans blink an eye. The mentality is totally different but why?

No matter how I try and think of a proper response to this, it sounds elitist. So let's just say RPG gamers and FPS gamers are, as a general, loose rule, usually two very different breeds.

Yes, they recycled a 15 second cutscene in the beginning of the game, the dastards!

There are other things to dogpile over the game for. Like poor optimization (?), half-assed dynamic map changes, and cardboard story.

Sorry if I'm sounding like a white knight.    :innocent:

Still, the link brings up something interesting. Just how much CoD can change while still being "Call of Duty"?

Different mentalities then eh?

What's striking is that some pals I had at college who were into Call of Duty were also into Mountain Dew and Doritos and I'm being serious. I couldn't believe it.

I was just calling them out for not changing the game's formula at all and then having the cheek to recycle cutscenes (or a cutscene). My gripe wasn't with that alone.

We all knew Ghosts would be a reskin of the past games but to recycle cutscenes just seems like a middle finger to everyone.

But there's so many white knights on these forums now defending rich companies and trying to relieve the mods of their jobs, so I'll just give in and surrender to you (even though I don't think you were white knighting IW).

Off to the White Knight HQ then? At least I know you won't cut my throat on the way. (I didn't even know you were one of the illustrious White Knights. God, you think you know someone...)

I mean it's not like I can run away with the way I've been blinded by all this shining white armor lately, lol.

Bioware fans crack me up.

Cod stays true to a formula their fans enjoy, and they are labelled as money-grabbers and lazy.

Bioware changes the formula in their games, and they are labelled as a non-caring corperate machine.

Bioware changed things for the worse, while IW has stayed the course without innovating in the slightest. They're both at fault.

I generally find the gameplay changes in most Bioware games to be an improvement. I like it because they show a tendency to want to experiment and improve.

There's not much that can be changed or improved in a Call of Duty game, unless they want to become more like Battlefield.

Each game has their market.

Halo - More focused on the dedication of mastering a game's mechanics.
CoD - Run n' Gun
Battlefield - Realistic, interactive, team based.
