I don't think so. Some of us either have amazing PUGs or are kind of stuck in perpetual PUG-state and have decent results.

Well, you're sure as hell better off than me. I played a PUG game yesterday where two teammates went down every single wave (they never geled) and the only reason the other one didn't was because he was a Krolord against the geth.

I followed that game up with some kid who (get this) jumped into the lobby, Rank 39, 20 challenge points, using a level 14 character and having no equipment and a level 1 avenger.

As soon as I got a good BSN teammate though, things went way better. The PUGs who joined were actually good and we played five matches, extracted every time, got objectives done quickly etc.

Maybe their luck counters mine, because my luck is the equivalent of 13 black cats carrying broken mirrors while walking under ladders.

I could care less what the lobby looks like in Gold. In fact, many of the most memorable games have been with low level N7 players.

I've never had consistently good PUGs

Every good match is, decidedly, followed by a bad one. Unless the PUGs actually stay for more than one game.

But PUGs keep me sharp. No matter how badly I want to be carried.

Truth here. I remember stumbling onto a Gold lobby hosted by an N7 17 once. I got on mic, explained about the different levels, that he should probably start on Bronze or Silver, and his response was "I got to wave 4 of Gold last time, so I'm DEFINITELY able to  hold my own!"

Hearing a statement that lulzy leaves you with two options: gear up to carry (like a boss), or run away. Knowing that someone's experience might be a bit better HAS to be more fun than going through the loading screen guantlet over and over searching for 'good' players, even if you're more likely to fail.

I'll give you that pugs are bad but you arent all that yourself in fact your playstyle adds to your problems.   I happened to drop into you and monkfish's lobby last night.  You are a bossy one Lazerak and should be in a party if you want to play drill instructor.  2nd both of you did not help me or the pug during waves 3 and 10. You were off killing crap score woring while I got all the targets.  You had a duration infiltrator yet let me and the pug try to get the devices while you and monkfish padded your scores again on wave 10.  You both finally decided to help with the last one.  Neither of you were contrrolling spawns very well.  Killing things on other side of map during devices or targets is not helpful.  Thats why it was so hard to get that last device.  Both of you are concerned about score not winning.

Sorry you had a bad game with me Parico. I'll be the first to admit, I was playing badly yesterday - more due to tiredness, not paying attention to the match, and being out of practice than intentionally score-padding. Hopefully things will be better if you bump into me again.

No worries I believe you said it was 5 am in uk.  I score pad too just in that match everyone was trying it.    My comments are more geared at lazer who rips on pugs on here for playing poorly then doesnt team play himself.

Obviously you didn't hear the following sentence. I said I THOUGHT I was geared to duration but I wasn't. Secondly, did you really want me to stand next to you when you were disarming? Would you rather I bring enemies towards you while you're unable to fight back? If so, let me know and I'll do my best to get you sinc killed. And you said I helped on Objective AFTER wave 10? It seems like you're just making things up for the sake of insulting me.

And lol about "I'm more concerned about score than winning." This sentence is so stupid, it completely discredits everything you say. How often have I made comments about terrible players? I've never lacked for score in ANY of those games! I WANT to win, which is why I want better teammates!

You have a problem with me calling the shots? I didn't see you plug in your mic and take over. If no one is going to call the shots on objective wave, I will. And I guess your incredibly selective hearing tuned out the praise I was giving the team when we were doing well.

Obviously you're just bitter for some reason as you're the first BSNer I've ever played with who had a problem with me after playing with me.

PUGs provide the variety that keeps me interested in the game. If it was flawless every time, it wouldn't be fun.

I've had horrifyingly bad pugs, leechers and scrubs drop into my lobbies, but I also kick more often now. But I've also had some fantastic pugs, some from the BSN, who out score me. Depends on equipment and weapon lvl which will determine whether I leave, play or kick.

With such an OLD game, i am just happy to have players to play with when i jumped in multiplayer, ANY player.
