Damn does this look awesome. And it has agent Coulson back in action :D

Set after the Avengers. Think it'll be good?

No

Also set after the Avengers? Was Coulson brought back from the Dead?

Knowing Joss Whedon, the show will grow after a couple of episodes and I'll love it to bits.

I'm glad that Coulson is back, but my attention is all on J. August Richards (he played Charles Gunn in Angel).

Can't wait until it'll get released over here years after its debut in America with an inevitably horrible dub-over.
Or I'll just watch it online somewhere.

I don;t get the comparisons to Heroes or Alphas. To me it looks different to both.

I'm definitely gonna watch this. The worst that could happen is that it turns out to be another disappointing show with people who have powers. I'm interested in how they explain the return of the Son of Coul, and I hope in this and the next Cap movie we get an explanation for the weird absence of S.H.I.E.L.D. in IM3.

Yeah I think this is going to rock. And very glad Phil will be leading it.

As to how he's still alive? Well the easy route is simply that his wounds weren't really fatal.

But my thought is that they either brought him back Shepard style, or either the current one or the one that died is really an LMD. (Life Model Decoy for those not familiar with the SHIELD comics)

I never liked Gunn.  He always felt forced.

The Coulson that died was clearly an LMD

My sibling is intimately involved in the filming of this show. I hope it takes off. She's going to make bank off royalties if it does.

Before we get too excited let's remember Jeph Loeb is an executive producer and has a lot of input.

Well, I just watched Captain America: Winter Soldier. Talk about a game changer for the entire Marvel Universe. Big question, what happens to this show now, can they still keep calling it Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I think it is okay, I have a lot of pet peeves about the show and there is room for a lot of improvement but I have always thought the show was watchable ( well, except for the pilot, I hated that episode ). I still feel as if this show is lacking in focus and direction, that most of its episodes feel like filler material as opposed to moving things forward, however from what I have seen there has been a noticeable shift in pace and quality since it came back from its winter break. I would be sad to see it go because I still think it is growing and it hasn't hit it's stride yet. I would gladly say goodbye to it if it had peeked and then it became ****.

Who makes it? Fox? if Fox makes it, it will be cancelled at the end of its run.

I tried watching the pilot but it was pretty bad. Except for maybe May I'm not interested in any of the characters.

ABC I think ( I'm not 100% sure, I live in Ireland so I'm watching this show on Channel 4 ). ABC aren't as trigger happy as Fox are when it comes to Sci Fi shows, having said that they do expect huge ratings from their prime time tv shows. I'm sure the steady rating decline of this show has not gone un noticed by the network big wigs not to mention a lot of the Marvel fan base criticism of the show in general.

Its enjoyable...  Melinda May and Coulson are awesome.  Simmons and Fritz are pretty cool. Ward is dull and Skye is okay... with her Deus Ex Laptop.

I don't know if you guys followed the whole season so far, but these days it's not as, urm, "not great" as it was for the first few episodes. It still hasn't reached a level that'd make me go crazy about it, but I find it enjoyable, so to me it is worth the 40+ minutes every week.

Ha, "every week", I wish. Right now the only really bad thing about the show are the gorram breaks since the midseason episode. The show was finally gaining some momentum in terms of story progression and character development, and suddenly after a good episode it's off for two weeks, then after the next one was on there are no episodes for four weeks.

That's really not a terribly clever thing to do imo, especially with a new show that is still finding it's footing, and that despite rather good audience ratings gets it's share of criticism (not all undeserved). The ratings after the 4 week delay I believe were the lowest for the season so far, despite the episode being one of the better ones. That's just bollocks.

TV Exec: Alright guys, the local HS water polo team has a big homecoming game against their cross-city rivals on Thursday. We'd better put that new episode in the can for another week or two just to be safe.
