Among my games, only 2 doggie names: Rorus and Cadamon

I've used Diefer (D for Dog), Smirnoff (which really worked) and 3.1415927 (or Pi for short).



Has anyone called the dog Alistair? Seems like an opportunity for many funny comments.

I either leave it Dog, or name it Midnight (my RL dog's name).

I was going to name Dog after my dog in real life Kepher, he's half hound and half pit-bull. But for some reason I ended up naming my dog in my human noble story Krillen......yes I watch DBZ with my little brother...

Fenris(my patron god), Carcharoth, Anfauglir, Huan(all three because I love the Silmarillion book by J.R.R. Tolkien). Also named him Poochy once. Fenris, Carcharoth, and Anfauglir fit pretty well, since I use the mod that gives him the Blight Wolf skin.

I also name my dog Fenris (actually i do so in each playthrough) although I sometimes play with the idea of one of the following:- Fenrir, Freki, Geri or Fangir

I figured I'd name Dog from something in the Lore. So my Human Female Noble named thw Dog Draste, after the Prophet herself.



My City Elf named the Dog Arla, after the ancient Elven city of Arlathan.



My new Human Noble named it Archie, after the titles Tevinter Imperium rulers had, the "Archon"

My elven Mage however named hers Peaches.

City Elf = Conrí ("wolf king" in Irish Gaelic)
Human Noble = Faolán ("little wolf" in Irish Gaelic)
Dalish Elf = Cuán (also "little wolf" in Irish Gaelic)
Dwarf Noble = Valko (Bulgarian name that derives from valk "wolf")

I like follow a general theme when naming Dog.

Minerva the Dalish Rogue - Marvin, though I was originally going to name him Colin, after Ford Prefect's robot in Mostly Harmless, who was coincidentally name after his ex-girlfriends dog.

Uhmm

Ringo (as in Ringo Starr, plus it sounds like an awesome dog name), and Andraste (as an insult to the common religion, since that character thinks he's a god) Gorim (after my Dwarf Noble's once lover and second) and some others that didn't mean anything to me
