"SPOILER WARNING! We discuss our experiences and opinions of ME2, the events of our individual endings, and the obvious effects that the game will have on Mass Effect 3. After that, we delve into comparisons between two high profile Bioware games and discuss what makes each of them unique and equally impressive."
Sounds a bit of a rant, i disagree/agree on some points. interesting nonetheless:whistle:

I hope they've changed the dialogue choices, because in ME1 you basically say something: Good, Evil, Neutral, Go on

Here's MY review.
I'd really appreciate any comments on it. Loved the game.
I started reading your review and had to stop when I read this in your overview: "Mass Effect 2 does not disappoint, in any way."
You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but I had some disappointments. Nonetheless, I forced myself to go back and give you a fair shake and see what your experience of the game itself was.
Since you describe the user's mechanics for playing the game it might be useful if you mention up front that you're reviewing the PC version of the game. I found it a bit jarring to be reading about left-clicking and such since I'm playing on a 360. Although the info is useful for PC gamers, it would be useful as well to give a heads up to others who might find your review and wish to use it to make a purchasing decision.
Anyway, I'm glad I did read your review because you hit on some points that echoed my own feelings. While I don't feel that your prose matches your ratings, I do feel you gave a forthright review of the game. If I cared enough to write a review, I believe I'd be more harsh. I'm working my way through my second playthrough (and yes, WORKING my way is how it's been feeling) and it's just not sucking me in. While playing through ME1, even when I wasn't playing it, I was thinking about it. ME2 has left me mostly flat. Right now I'm thinking that ME3 is going to be a Platinum Hits purchase for me, if at all, but I'm hopeful that some new DLC - like the Hammerhead - will revitalize my interest.
Good job!

Didn't understand his comment about ME1 being "too political" - anyone know if that meant that there was too much interaction with the Citadel Council, or was he referring to the story itself echoing modern day politics?
Anyway, seeing an example of how ridiculously fast scanning is on the PC, I think that some programmer someplace deserves a solid kick to the 'nads in response to the 360's scanning.

Treatment of ME1 companion reunions has disappointed many players, especially Ashley/kaidens. But that don't matter to the HALO crowd.

This game IMO 1/10 .i dont know the only thing i can guess is that ME and WITCHER were alot better games. judging by all the fans you have
I would normally defend someone "imo" but this is just a tad stupid.

fine ill give it a 3/10 there you happy. i cant count how many times ive gotten stuck on top of a crate or table . just to end up losing hours of total game play because i could not get back down. I even died when i fell thru a planet a couple times lol. Im just not the fanboi type. And it seems will never really care for this dev I liked DAo better at least the conversation tree was bigger/longer. maybe thats where im haveing the problems mostly with. Other then the getting stuck issue Me Talking to edi ,Whats this room for, whats this room for, whats this room for ect ect ect ect , got old fast
ME2 was one of the most polished games ive ever played, there arent that many bugs(atleast none as serious as youve just described and yes there is the wall climbing bug but i guarntee you that dosent happen that often, not enough for it to be a game ruining bug.). Even if that were the case, the sheer amount of autosaves in the game(one before every major fight) shouldnt cause you to loose hours of gameplay. And you dont have to listen to edi, its optional.
Edit: Just a side note, if this game was as buggy as your claiming it as then im pretty sure you would probably be seeing 100s of posts complaining about all the bugs.

I agree with you. This is most likely a rare occurance, and should not contribute to the over-all rating of the game. If this were the case, then I guess no game would meet with his approval. I'm also sure a patch would fix this up. I give ME2 9/10. Creative imagination, graphics, story line, attention to detail, and music. He's so busy saying what's wrong with it, and not even giving us any good points.

People that write such long winded reviews are probably not considered the "Average Gamer". They spend all their time picking a game apart good, bad, or indifferent. Instead of just enjoying the game as a whole. I like reviews that are two, maybe three paragraphs long. They get right into the nuts & bolts of their gaming opinions. I hold these opinions of value more then the long walls of writing, that I find boring, and just doesn't hold my interest. To me it's nit-picky. He did hit on one topic that I agree with, and that's the "Character Creation" part. It doesn't seem to come out like your original creation, once you get into the actual game.

EDIT: And also from not playing the first one probably also has alot to do with not getting to excited about this one . mostly from situations where they expect you to know of a certain person/misson from the first game . And you have to give an answer to a question regarding that . You guys have to account for the fact i never played the first one. It was made to much for the people that DID play the first one IMO. And as for me not approving of any game is not true . But im a rare breed of pc gammer . Because i have bought every game i own so am a bit more critical then most. But i pay for that right. But i find it funny the whole game is based on an impossability . In regards to there would of been nothing left of shepard on reentry of that planet , to bring back to life. And yes i know its a game . I just get put off when devs just start making stuff up . They should at least keep to known logic, its just a petpeve of mine.

no i was saying DAo was the buggier one sorry for not making that to clear . yes this game does have very few bugs compared to DAo . Also i quess i havent been in very many fights because it has only auto saved once. all the other saves were mine. i just make sure to save often now no biggie. I see you had nothing to say about the getting stuck on crates and tables though? and as being not in a fight it does not auto save . So thats why the loss. when i have gotten stuck. just before i was mining planets again no auto saves. so thats why the loss of hours.

It just seemed to me you were giving ME2 a 3/10 because of too many bugs. Was that wrong?
I have gotten stuck in mid-air maybe 3-4 times. Annoying when it happens, but I'll live.
I think I would give ME1 a 8.5/10 and ME2 a 9/10 because of the improvements of side missions/planet exploration, more interesting ship, better side quests and overall better combat. Main plot is great in both games, and neither is buggy enough to lose any points.
