The Burn360 review really has me over the edge now.

"Mass Effect 2 conveys both a grand story, and intimate experience that will most likely be savored by all that come in contact with it.  Mass Effect 2 is the result of effective crticisms being taken into consideration and improved upon.  Living up to the hype, Mass Effect 2 casts a large shadow over the rest of 2010 if this level of quality is what we now measure by."

Thats just epic, that really is. There is just no doubt in my mind at all that were going to be blown away, far out into the reaches of the Terminus system!

I can't wait till Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation actually tries to review this game, given that he's notoriously strict, almost trollish and is usually inclined to find and exaggerate any fault or deficiency in a game, especially if the game received high scores from other sites/magazines.

Oh dear I feel so foolish. Please disregard my previous comments. I was just so worried about having the story spoiled.

Don't worry I almost added it till I read it :P

Well for the most part he does it just for a joke, but I find it even funnier when he does give a good review on something.

So I wonder if this is the audio cutout that the IGN review was mentioning:

From the burn360 review: Audio Hiccup? – I noticed that at times sound would cut out when in battle, at first I thought this was a technical glitch, and then realized the explosions occuring around me were hindering my sense of sound. Confusing? Yes, but so are five RPG rounds exploding at or near you.

Why is all of this scoring and the game is not out yet. I seen most of the trailers and I type you this they are pretty impressive which make the game so good. Viewing a trailer and playing the game is two different things.

There is a game been released last year that just about every reviewer talk up so much when released and played they wear disappointed.

There is another game that everybody including myself cannot wait for with the great trailers and the stuff they put in the collector edition when two weeks before release they decided to have NO dedicated servers for the PC game. Instead they some stupid thing which makes the game a lag feast if the player lucky enough to join in. There was a outcry that nearly everybody in the clan I in who got the game lost interest in the game. Gee I was lucky that I waited.

( That is way I brought Dragon Age, Discover Mass Effect 2 and download and played Mass Effect in that order.)

I hope it dose NOT happen. I per-order the collected edition at Christmas- eve and cannot wait play it. I hope playing it it dose not fall flat.

When your health gets really low, we filter much of the audio out to give the player a sense of impending death. I think the reviewer confused this for a 'glitch'. It's absolutely deliberate, shame he mistook this as a negative... but that's the joy of game reviews for you.

Are there any spoilers in the IGN video review?

As far as I am concerned no, I mean I guess though everyone's spoiler levels are diffrent, but the video didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, it also didn't tell me many things I did know either, so it just to me stuck to the basics, are the graphics good, story ect.

I think most people thought that this was a glitch.   You probably should inform the reviewers as that is amazingly cool.  So explosions going off around you will cause you to lose your hearing?  I wish many games like Modern Warfare 2 would include that as it is more realistic.  Very very cool feature, you should be bragging about that.

Why I enjoy Rainbow Six Vegas with there flashbang gernades, while that's the only time it would happen, you could get defaned, and posisbley blinded if you were looking at it, always gave a cool realsim when the thing made you truly feel like your ears were ringing.

Modern Warfare does have the flashbangs and it does screw up your hearing but it's only in that case. With grenades going off around you, you should be going deaf as a single gunshot does reduce and damage your overall hearing.

True, I forogt about the flashbangs in MW, I sadly lost my game after owning it like 2 weeks and never got another.

But it is true to life that if explosions happen to close sound waves can deafen you, would be nice to see it portrayed more.

Why was the Burn360 review embaroged by EA? I read it and it didn't have any big spoilers. Maybe the youtube link to the game's first 30 minutes?

Yea, that's rather stupid that Burn360 had to take theirs down until 1/26. Seems like a beancounter decision if there ever was one:

"What is this? A 5 star review from an unauthorized site? That gave the game a glowing review? Get the lawyers on it! TAKE IT DOWN!"

I hear you man. I was very disappointed too when Mr 402 broke the news. In fact when i compare the community service of IW and Bioware, they are like night and day. Rob Bowling doesn't bother to post on IW's official forums, only uses twitter, and cherry picks questions to answer. The official forums are devoid of any developer feedback and the mods spend their whole time deleting threads critical of IW.

With Bioware, we receive constant regular updates on the game, clear explanation of features, the different editions, questions from the community are answered clearly. Chris Priestly regularly posts here and is quick on the ball.

I remember hand grenade training in basic training in the Army. We all stood in line while one by one we all chucked our grenade out of a little concrete bunker. Even with ear plugs tightly in place, by the time it was over I couldn't hear a thing.

So, you want to hear the review from a guy who is explicitly paid to be biased in his reviews?

I see.
