Too cute! My girls love Animal Crossing. Gonna have to get this one for the 3DS as well.

The fact that they can do more like swim and go boating...they are going to love this one too.

That's a damn sweet list. Reminds me though that with Animal Crossing i'll have bought enough games for Nintendo's 'so many games' promotion, meaning I can choose either DK Country, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, or Luigi's Mansion for free and I haven't got a clue which to pick. If only the Wii U library was as full...

Don't bother with Mystery Dungeon. At least try out the demo because that is what you're going to deal with the whole time.

Damn, I see what you mean, that demo was painful. I quite enjoyed the other Mystery Dungeon games, so I probably would have gone for that by default, without knowing there was a demo. Thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone else use their 3DS as an mp3 player? I've noticed elsewhere many people didn't even realise you could.

IGN scored Animal Crossing a 96 (same as fire emblem), and I saw one other 9/10 review so far. Looking good.

Here... we... go.

lol .. So, stores are closed and animals are sleeping. Just meandering around for now. Gotta wait till morning for more action. The time aspect is pretty nifty.

Any one want to exchange friend codes?

Mine is 2809-7841-7603

I have a perfect apple I am willing to trade for any other perfect fruit.
I also have a ton of apples to trade as well. (From what I have read, planting and then selling fruit not native from your own is a huge money booster)

I have never played a 3DS game online nor an animal crossing game, so hopefully trading is as easy as throwing crap on the ground. ;p

I picked this up today. I needed something a bit lighter and sillier after finishing Sleeping Dogs...

But yeah, just waiting for my house to be built and doing a bit of fishing. I caught an arowana, which I've never gotten in any animal crossing it's been featured in, in fact I think it was the only fish I'd needed in the last one.

Does anyone have Bill as a villager?

He's my favorite, hopefully I'll luck out and he'll move to my town. So far I've got Croque the frog, Clyde the horse, Snake the rabbit (lolwut), Friga the penguin (who has been in every single one of my towns since the gamecube) and Bluebear the...bear.

And is there a way to change the town tune? I can't seem to find one. I doubt they'd leave out that option...

I know talking to Isabelle you can supposedly change the town tune... but I don't think I have heard my disaster piece anywhere unless it fits for some reason.

I have Skye the Wolf/Dog, Ruby the Rabbit, Pecan the Squirrel, Stitches the Stuffed Animal, and Tank the Rhino.

I've been fishing a lot as well and slowly building up my income. Spent a vast majority of it on Turnips... hopefully, I can get some good bells from it. ;p

Oh god I can't wait to finally play this! I received my redeemable code for New Leaf this morning, then found out it can't be activated until 2AM my local time. :crying: This is going to be such a long day.

I haven't really tried making anything, aside from a hastily-constructed Sarah Sisulart outfit. It looks okay, but you can tell I didn't take my time with it.

I caved in and downloaded it early because I couldn't wait - FINALLY caught one of those wharf roaches. They tend to skitter away pretty quickly, so I've failed miserably the last two days. I'm happy because now I'll never have to catch another one again ever in my entire life!

Got 100% approval from the residents yesterday, so I'm pleased that I can start my public works projects (hideously expensive as it turns out - I started a suspension bridge and found out it was 128k bells; canceled because I decided I wanted a cobblestone bridge instead). Today, I think I'm going on vacation. Tortimer finally popped in yesterday, and now I can hit the resort island - whee!

Been playing it a little bit each day. Added a bunch of people I met at the Nintendo World event. Finished my first public project and unlocked the island. The vacation island is a gold mine!

I wanted to play Animal Crossing so badly but have no cash to fork over, decided to play my DS version which I found in my basement. It... it was depressing, everyone was like "Where have you been?!" and my town was in absolute ruin.

I left in depression.

It TOTALLY is! I earned about 550k bells last night scooping up beetles over a couple of hours - ka-ching!

I put a metal guitar in the flea market. I was offered 450 bells straight up, but I decided to put it on the block for 500. Anyone have good success here?

And I was stung by bees and need medicine apparently, but can't seem to find any. Where would that be?

Don't really know about the flea market. For that kind of small profit it's probably not even worth bothering.

As for the medicine, you can buy it from Nookling junction when it expands to its larger versions. Its only for getting rid off that weird thing it does to your eye though, and that dissapears after you save and reload.

Well, I now have pear, peach, and apple trees going, and started the campsite project. Two new residents... Gwen, a penguin, and Sylvia's spot is reserved. Yay!!! I haven't paid off my house loan yet, as I want to get other things up. Crazy Redd pitched his tent in my town today, and I probably bought some phony art. We'll see in a day or two. It's in the mail. Caught a saw shark on my beach today. Got lucky there. Anyone know specifically when I can head to the island for some R&R?

There's actually a way to tell if Redd's stuff is phony or not, some paintings/statues have no fakes, but the ones that do are detailed here.

As for the island, you have to upgrade your house at least once. When you do, Tortimer will show up on your intro screen a few days later and talk about the island. I think it's two days after you upgrade your house. And for some reason you then have to wait ANOTHER day for the island to be accessible. They really drag things out in this game.

I still don't have T&T Mart as all I'm buying from Nookling Junction is fortune cookies.(the requirement is to spend 12000 bells or buy 15 items, and seven days must have passed since the start of the game.) I just found out that T&T Mart is one of the requirements to unlock KK Slider's club, so... I guess I'll be shopping there a bit more.

Oh, and if you quit the game without saving, you'll get a public works project added to your list...
