I agree with you on the Acolyte, but if you are going to go as far as modding the game to deal with on-host phantoms, just use the Acolyte at that point. It's actually less cheap since you get a slight cooldown penalty and lose a second weapon option.

edit: or just bring a scorp

Hey Air Quotes, you shouldn't be even considering modding your files btw. Not because you can get banned (like BW cared) but because you're the number one person on the BSN when it comes to calling out cheaters.

If you're gonna make the game easier for you anyhow than it is for those who play it as is, then you're cheating and deserve the exact same treatment we all gave N7-Link. We don't want that, do we?

While I will first ask, who you think you are to decide how this game is supposed to be balanced, I also couldn't agree more with your posts regarding Phantom DR and Crutches.

Lets get this straight I don't hate anyone here on BSN, we all share a common interest that is love & passion for this game. But sometimes a few people unneccesarily try to provoke me and that makes me angry and the only person I hate at that moment is myself because I don't like myself when I am angry. Air Quotes and me were cool until recently for unknown reasons to me he started to get butthurt from my comments not even directed towards him. What started to ****** me of was I never said anything close to being bad to him to deserve his initial hate towards me. There are a few other people who I will not mention, undeservedly hate me without reason, I just want to tell everyone that I don't have any ill-feelings towards anyone so they should not have any hostilty towards me. I strongly believe in resolving issues much more than seeking revenge but sometimes the only way to resolve issues is by seeking revenge but most of the time seeking revenge is going to make things much worse.

Big difference between what Air Quotes wants to do and what you did. You made an enemy more difficult (by quite a bit it looked like) while Air Quotes wants to make one easier.



Also, not really as Ravagers already like to target me frequently.

I understand that. 

But: 

1. I don't make videos 

2. I never posted any of my times in Hendrix thread, because I realize that I'm suspicious (and I have an aimbot) and I know how to mod some stuff and nobody should take me for granted (unlike Sirian who learned a thing or two from TTHW) 

3. I do not gain any unfair advantage. People off host don't have to deal with DR anyway. Only I do. 

1. But you're a respected (at least by me) BSNer. And you being on PC that's much to say.

3. Maybe not, but that advantage is one the rest of legit hosts will not enjoy. Console people can't even dream of such. And you do have an edge over your guests, do you really need another one?

Idk what you talking about, honestly. I'm no dataminer but everytime I host I take out my assguard for a ride or two, and always pick Cerberus. Always.

Bubble then Arc Pistol to the face. They die every time, no matter if flipping, bubbling or in hard cover. They. Just. Die.

So if you force bubble right after evade, she still has like two seconds of DR (explains why 3 shots from BW don't kill her), while bubble (either hers or stasis) without evade doesn't grant her any DR, resulting in easy kill.

Welp, modding isn't an option for me. On the rare occasion that I do play when hosting, I always choose an enemy and stay prepared for whatever they have to throw at me.

If staying prepared means grabbing an Acolye to deal with Phantoms, then so be it... ego be damned.

I like to role play. I like my Turian with Phaeston, but oh, he can put 90 bullets in 1 Phantom and she will not die. While 1 Acolyte shot will strip her shields.

You're still giving yourself an unfair advantage.

You're just trying to justify it by saying you don't think it was a good design.

Call it whatever you want, but it's still an advantage via modding.

If that's accurate then probably it comes down to my assguard playstyle. I never trigger a dodge or bubble intentionally with her, I just stasis them on sight, then shoot. But still I'm pretty sure they die in one headshot when I stasis them mid-flip/bubbled.
