This may have been suggested before, I don't know. But after playing The Walking Dead Episode 1 thru 5. It occured to me when I was playing the Earth: London mission not that long ago, that there is a story here.

Like Lee Everet, create a protagonist who is trying to survive the Reaper Invasion of Earth, a man or woman who joins up with other survivors whose goal it is to hold on till Commander Shepard and the Calvary arrive to save the day. Image IPB

I am pretty sure the majority of the fans want to start off on a completely new slate with none of the past characters showing up. And if there must be some cameos those should be made by characters such as Anderson, Aria, and or any of the other major figure heads just none that were squadies or directly related to Shepard per say.

(New slate overall meaning no Shepard correllation at all. References are fine ala Grey Warden Hero like they did in DA2 but spefically I don't want to see Wrex, Liara, or any of those characters popping up)

Sorry OP but I would rather see a team up with BW and Quantic Dreams.. Now that would be one hell of a emotionally invested Sci-Fi/ fanasty RPG

Saw an article yesterday about Mass Effect 3 spin off's:

http://www.oxm.co.uk...spin-off-games/

Whether it's ME3 or ME4 I don't care as long as it continues in every form, books, CGI movies and the Legendary Pictures film and of course games! Long may it continue.

I would rather everything related to the first three Mass Effect games to be left in the radioactive dust cloud that was Mass Effect 3 and have a fresh start. I don't want to play any of my old companions, I want a new story and something that doesn't have the burden of having to "import" from the previous games.

Edit:

To clarify a bit, I liked Mass Effect 3 just fine I was fairly indifferent to the ending, but the reaction around here and how other people reacted to the game is going to leave an expectation on everything related to the first three games.  I rather have a almost clean slate and see what BioWare can do with that and maybe give the franchise the fresh (not reboot) start it needs around here.  I would have no problem with minor references to the first three games such as Shepard's LI being mentioned, the Krogan decision, or the Rachni outcome.  I wouldn't expect major game impacting choice from these imports, but something to add flavor.

The other problem with using an exisiting squad member is that people could be irritated at the squad member they would pick.  Especially if it worked out to being the LI of Shepard and cause a lot of negative feelings towards the game.

I just think the best bet to try and keep the controversary or the implied controversary is have as little to do with the first three games as possible to give people the break they need from the previous issues they might have had.

Let me tell you something, sir. I do not consider Mac Walters to be a phenomenal writer. I am convinced he is a phenominally nice guy, but that's it. He is, however, a bona fide writing genius compared to David Cage and the guys at QD. And unlike Mac Walters, David Cage is a pretentious douche with an ego the size of a small sun. As lackluster as I found ME3's writing to be, it was gold compared to Heavy Rain's abysmal script.

I don't know him to say is a douche or not but I played heavy rain and it was a deep emotional game and what he can do with his graphics was unbelievable. In the end I don't care if developers attitude is good or bad as long as the games that they make is worth my money.

I agree with Arcian. David Cage is just a guy who can't stop talking about how good his games (and writing) is...
I hate when people praise their own work... well, unless they won the Pulitzer or something.

BTW, Heavy Rain was saved only by its traditional game-like aspects. As a piece of storytelling it was dreadful and if it were a movie -- as I often believe Cage wishes it had been -- it would've been torn to shreds by critics and laughed out of any serious film festival.

Wait...Quantic Dreams? I thought you people didn't like dropped character traits which are never really explained. Because that's what I remember from heavy Rain.

Telltale can make a good story, but I really can't see them succeeding with that one. if not for restrictions to not get too much attention from media (Walking Dead did get away with things other games wouldn't consider), then for the action/story balance needed in Mass effect. Telltale is more the kind to use violence at every turns.

Boy tough crowd lol. I just imagined both studios strengths put into one game would be hard pressed to have hardly any bad. 1 Quantic dreams graphics and BW's storytelling.

QD's grasp on graphics is about as firm as BW's grasp on storytelling. That is to say, not quite so.

Heavy Rain was an uncanny valley nightmare in spite of Mr Cage's insistence to the contrary. Beyond: Two Souls facial mo-cap, while significantly better than Heavy Rain's, is still leagues worse than Halo 4's.

Haven't seen halos graphics don't have a Xbox 360. Regardless BW wouldn't be able to team up with another studio that isn't under the EA umbrella. BW would have to become independent studio again, correct me if I'm wrong.

:pinched: negative. I think you're going off on your own critical rant, and perhaps missing what the suggestion was really about. Heavy Rain (like it or not) was a game about people and emotions. Creating a Mass Effect game around characters feelings and reactions would be very engaging on a more mature level, in contrast to making mass effect more point and shoot, which is where many original fans are worried is the future direction.

OK, I can't take you seriously after this comment. Unless you're no stranger to hyperbole, your comments are just too weighted against QD.
