No, they only said about different backgrounds, smth like Mass Effect, but having more influence on the story. And specialisations seem to be more important. I wonder if different nationalities will be included. Rivain seer etc was just an example, more a wishful thinking.

Oh, OK. If it's anything like Mass Effect, then I'd expect background to be more personal, rather than cultural. Like maybe some villager whose family died from abominations, or a Templar recruit who is easy going and broke from the Order. Kind of like "Sole Survivor", "War Hero", etc..

Yes, it's more likely. Only one nationality, with voice acting and such. Still wonder, will it be Orlesian or Fereldan again.

They cant have a first name without having the name pre-choosen for the player. And I doubt people will give up that level of personal customization.

Agreed. I don't really mind the general in game public to refer to either title or last name. I would, however, like to have our LI to have some kind of term of endearment set aside. And perhaps the remaining companions to have a nickname or something as someone else pointed out.Darth Brotarian wrote...

well I think if all the origin stories get the same last name then they should go by last name. actually I would prefer las name regardless. maybe do like what they did with shepard where he gets called commander or commander shepard or shepard.
