Hmm. That does sound interesting. The drone. I loved that drone for it's ability to prime biotic explosions.

I am rather proud of it- a good auto-primer for biotic explosions, but you need to think tactically with it and your charge... or ditch charge entirely and biotic blade all the things, if you want.
The drone can still prime biotic explosions, you just need to hold off on your charge for a few seconds to get it to prime them, then charge makes them explode. and then, optionally, biotic blades detonate them again if you select the re-prime evolution.
It sounds quite fun to play, no?

Indeed. Hence why you were hyperlinked in the Remaining classes Thread.

smh
That's an awful lot of work for something pointless, no?
That wall of text has a better chance of repelling mongolians than it has of ever seeing the light of day.
Enjoy the free bump

Well, I found making it fun, so that alone was reason enough. And other people like my concepts, so I feel vindicated.
Can you honestly say that this is too much different from a fanfic?

These kind of "What is the point?" posts do irratite me.
This is just for fun.
It is fun coming up with ideas.
It is a fun process, in and of itself.
None of us really expect Bioware to implement these ideas. If we did, we wouldn't bother.
Some fans spend their time creating beautiful pictures.
We try to come up with new kit concepts, map concepts and weapon concepts for multiplayer.
We don't expect implementation. The processof sharing ideas and feedback from fellow fans is its own reward.

Good ideas, but why stay inside the classic "firebase X map with waves of enemies" thing that multiplayer can't seem to step out of?
Imo, this game's multiplayer really needs a lot more game modes and variety, especially seeing how much of a grind it is to get unlocks.
Couple of ideas:
"Assault mode": a certain location (space-station / base) is overrun by the enemy. This map doesn't use waves, instead the players need to battle their way through rooms full of enemy units until they get to a final "Boss" enemy. the assault is timed and players need to complete it within the timeframe (and possibly get bonuses for doing it faster)
One of these maps for each enemy type.
"Base defence mode": This would be another "waves" map, but on a far larger scale. Possibly for 8 players or more, you would need to defend a larger map against waves of enemies and could potentially activate some form of base defences (like turrets, alarm units, friendly mechs etc.) to assist you.
I feel like a lot is possible within the Mass Effect universe. The current multiplayer is still fun because of the character builds and the higher difficulties, but the map layout and concept gets old fast imo. Some new ideas are needed.

I tried putting in some new gameplay styles without changing the setup too much; all of the DLC just came with weapons, characters or firebases, and I didn't want to stray too far from that.
Feel free to make your own DLC thread with ideas like that if you want, though.
