Will this include a slider in the character creator?  Or will it only be an NPC thing?

ETA: Anyone who has played using a nude patch knows how unintentionally funny some very serious scenes in DAO are once you add the penis.

If they show sex I want it to be in an unsexy and stark manner. Just a still camera and various grunts.

Fallout 3 was criticized sharply for the slow-mo dismemberment cam shots. Eyeballs rolling, arms flying off, the tops of heads being blown off showing an exposed brain, if using a nail gun, bodies being nailed to the wall.

It was pretty gross, actually. I got used to it pretty quickly, but it was one game I never played in front of my kids.

A lot of people liked that, though.  There were even mods made to add even more grossness as well as mods made to remove some of it.

Playing FA3 now and I agree, I won't be playing it in front of my granddaughter.  

I do head shots more often than not or shoot the arm off, and I don't even notice the gore anymore.  Borderlands is another one and with this one, it's the comments that disturbed me more than the gore.  "I'm good at this" after I kill something.

 The themes in the games have being fairly mature. As for gratuitous nudity it doesn't make the game anymore mature, it can seem like its just there in a bid by the developers to appear grown-up.

That's the thing I'm wondering, why limit your vision to a PG-13 vision knowing that the game'll get an M rating anyway?  I can only suggest and hope that they make the game worthy of its M-rating.  I know that I for one would appreciate playing a game where I feel the developers didn't hold back on anything and where it's M-rating was deserved.

I think the vision for Mass Effect was that they were going for a tone that fits with, say, Star Trek, or maybe James Bond.  What you're asking for wouldn't really have fitted.

Anyway, the characters should really be naked during their love making sessions. The scenes could still be tactful. Clothed shower scenes are especially awkward.
