Political rant aside, sex is a part of life, a part of love, a part of romance, and a part of adult communication. You cannot tell me that men don't bond with each other when everyone looks at a pretty butt going by, just as women will talk about men and notice a square jaw or large hands or whatnot and will talk about that as well. We're sexual beings, and it's nice when that's acknowledged without it being surrounded by shame or tittering.
Going to tell you right now, I don't "bond" with anyone over any lecherous thing such as ogling another person.
And I disagree that we're "sexual beings," if you mean anything more than reproductively.
Request: Please make DA3 more mature to fit the M rating

Seriously, though looking at an attractive body part is hardly lecherious.

Have you heard of the word taboo? What's taboo 100 years ago isn't 300 years later. Everything is constantly changing, and the future is its greatest contributor. Culture changes, society changes, its inevitable. History hasn't proven me wrong, if anything history has proven me right since no one seems to fully learn for its teachings. People draw lines to what's right & wrong, but the line keeps getting pushed back further & further. People are like leafs in the wind; no sense of foundation or direction. The future will determine who is correct, so let us live and wait.BasilKarlo wrote...
You're suggesting a new trend is apparent. I'm saying there's nothing new about what you're citing. The future has nothing to do with it. Either behavior is already notably changing or it isn't.
As long as there has been art there has been pornography. As their has been photography there has been pornographic photography. Etc. History says you're wrong.
Ever heard of Marquis de Sade? There's nothing new about sexual impulses/desires.
Death, taxes and being horny.

Maybe you don't. Most men do, and I see it (I'm a woman), even when no disrespect is meant. And yes, we are sexual beings. As I said, it's one of the most basic drives we have -- the drive to reproduce. You may disagree, but most people who disagree really just do not want to acknowledge this. As is your right.
But I'm very glad (as is my husband I'm sure) that I acknowledge and enjoy my own sexuality

Fine, fine. Take out the males bonding over a pretty woman walking by, and it does not invalidate anything else I said. I certainly didn't mean any disrespect, and I wasn't talking about an open ogling or outright lechery (which I actually find creepy). But still, as a not-man (very true -- though my best friend is a man and I have been married many years as well) I can't say for sure that that actually happens.
But I stand by everything else I said :innocent:
ETA: It's not that things are getting worse. It's just as we get older, it's easier to separate ourselves from the walking hormones most of us were when we were teens.

The thing is, they're already doing this. Gaider has stated more than once that they're doing this. Not worrying about anyone or any company (surprised not to see that OTHER almost obligatory comment, though it's likely in here somewhere), just making it how they want to make it.
And people clearly aren't satisfied with it.

Am all for a more mature themed game, but there are a lot more to do it then throwing in nudes scenes. There are better and (ironically) maturer ways to go about. In the Dragon Age Novel, The Calling, their was passage of Fiona was getting tortured. That is mature and it fit given the lore. Am not saying more nudes would be good, without the use of mods and actually can be seen on a console, but their are a lot more ways to do it them the common person would expect. However, BioWare if you do that, I'll keep a eye out on the Fox News Network.
AHHHH, THERE'S our Fox reference!

After admitting that the review said that they botched the sex and nudity...why on earth would you give them lukewarm praise because they had boobs just for the sake of having them? I think it's hardly something to be lauded when it was handled poorly according to that review.
There's only suppression or censorship in a game if the devs are strong-armed into removing mature content (nudity, violence, sex, controversial topics, etc.) that they wish to keep and that they feel is integral to their story/art. A real tragedy is when great works of art are defaced because of real suppression and censorship.
You should read about what happened to The Last Judgment on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Short version: the dangly bit were covered up by a later painter because the religious prudes of the time were offended by nudity. One portion of the painting was actually destroyed and repainted due to implied sexual intercourse.
Michelangelo celebrated the human form and its lines (nude bits included), and he created powerful works of art that have stood the test of time. I'm not really sure that Metro: Last Light and its boobs or any other video game (and its boobs) can ever aspire to that.
http://en.wikipedia....s_Last_Judgment
Daniele is infamous for having covered over, with vestments and fig-leaves, many of the genitals and backsides in Michelangelo's The Last Judgment fresco in the Sistine Chapel. This work was begun in 1565, shortly after the Council of Trent had condemned nudity in religious art. It earned Daniele the nickname "Il Braghettone" ("the breeches-maker").
He also chiseled away a part of the fresco and repainted the larger part of Saint Catherine and the entire figure of Saint Blaise behind her. This was done because in the original version Blaise had appeared to look at Catherine's naked behind, and because to some observers the position of their bodies suggested sexual intercourse.
The loincloths and draperies in the lower half of the fresco, however, were not painted by Daniele. His work on the Last Judgment was interrupted at the end of 1565 by the death of Pope Pius IV, after which the scaffolding he used had to be removed quickly because the chapel was needed for the election of a new pope.

If Bioware wants to try to make PG games, then that's their prerogative. What it will eventually get rated as isn't up to them
As it is, Bioware's games are plenty "mature" enough to fit an M-rating, they don't need any more violence or sex in order to keep it.
