Say what you will, I still love this weapon. I used it for a Platinum solo, and I took it into the Thunderdome, and while I'm not saying that it is the best weapon for the job, it certainly worked very well against everything but Banshees.

Incendiary/Cryo ammo is a must on this weapon, and you have to curve away from your standard way of aiming (that is, target the feet of enemies and compensate for the bullet's descent during its travel).

It is certainly one of the better anti-Phantom and anti-Dragoon weapons, and I find it fun to use.

Keep making these threads about venom bashing cause it just makes it unique when I bring it into a game and top the score board on platinum. Best shotgun in the game...because it isn't a shotgun. While everyone is running away from phantoms and dragoons I'm running towards them. While people are getting stun locked by bombers I'm killing them without aiming.

I do say this though. It needs to be used on an infiltrator or vanguard to be the most effective. Put it on the quarian female infiltrator and sabotage and she destroys but nothing beats the AIU.

I'd argue that the SE gets a lot of use out of it.

I think this weapons suffers massively when off-host, and has some very buggy hit detection. Far too often I see shots pass right through targets, or AOE shots do absolutely nothing at the feet of an enemy.

Reliability is a critical part of a gun being used, and its simply not reliable. I like the idea of the gun though, conceptually being a dual purpose weapon capable of crowd control & focus damage. In practice though it just does not deliver.

If your shooting people and it has the chance of going through them your doing it wrong...don't shoot them directly...it isin't a shotgun...

Shoot the feet. Sometimes, on or off host, itll miss pyros, but thats the extent.

I never use it because it's the only weapon/gear/mod/character I haven't obtained yet. Gotta love that random number generator.

I use the Vorcha Hunter with the Venom and can top da boards
