Hi All,

Maybe I was one of the few that did not know this, but I did not know that you could left click on a map pin (from the map) and it will start flashing blue ... as if targeted. This is useful as it also show flashing on your mini-map.

Anyway, I did not know this ...  Did you?

Cheers,
Lance.

yeh but... is there any use for it? Would it work across multiplayer for example?

I was about to swear that I had clicked at some point in the last few years and nothing happened, but I just tried... and yes, it worked. I guess I had just forgotten. I don't think I'll be using it much, but it's good to know anyway.

I've been aware of it from the beginning. In fact, it's been a burr under my saddle because it's the only remnant of much more minimap utility in original NWN. (Where you could leave your own notes on the MM, and even plot movement.)

Hi All,

KevL: It would be useful if it does! I can check it out at some time in the future, but maybe somebody already knows.

Arkalezth: I must admit, I thought I had tested this once as well, but only now do I notice it.

I_Raps: I have a slightly improved system for map pins in my module. Check it out here:

Thanks all!

Cheers, Lance

Looks interesting. But "92%" there is even more so.

As for the question posted - do the color tokens (from DIALOG.tlk etc.) work? If so, it would finally give me a reason to go ahead and learn them. Image IPB

Hi I_Raps,

Yes, 92% .... :) And chipping away at that all the time!

Pin Colours - Maybe that is something I can look at doing at a later date. The problem with looking at it now, is that I may be distracted and slow down the module production, which I am eager to finish. You never know though, I sometimes like to look at different aspects of the game now and then.

Lance.

Another thing: Just noticed that you can zoom in/out on the minimap by left/right-clicking on it... If I knew about that at some point, I had forgotten about it.

Hi Arkalezth,

I know that the mini-map "zooms" in and out if you double click on its title bar. Is that the same thing?

(I have disabled the + and - buttons zooming in all other maps to ensure my mapping tool works with the frames ok.)

Cheers,
Lance.

I mean a single click on the minimap itself (not on the title), but I just remembered that I have a custom minimap and I didn't recall that the original had the + and - buttons, so maybe it's a bit different in my case.

Hi Arkalezth,

I just tried doing the left/right click (as you say) but it did not work for me .... but then again, my minimap is also a custom one. Image IPB

The standard mini map interface has the [+] and [-] buttons for changing the zoom (not that I've had much need to use them).

I happen to have the game open right now, so I just checked. With no custom UI at all, clicking or dbl-clicking on the minimap itself does nothing, but dbl-clicking the title bar first enlarges the minimap (not zooms in or out);  dbl-clicking again minimizes it to just the title bar;  and a third time restores it to normal.

Hi I_Raps,

Yes, this is what I mean it does for me too (enlarges not zoom). Although my customized version of the UI does not have the + and - "zoom" buttons (to make compatible with my own mapping system), but is also double the OC campaign sizes at each "stage" (if you see what I mean).

Cheers, Lance.
