i dunno about you but id rather be able to think they stayed with the Warden/Hawke rather than questing around with some new guy if they were romanced

although i suppose that doesn't really matter if they really disappeared, but still. that would require extra dialogue if they were romanced in the past.

I don't think either my Warden or Hawke could bear following somebody else around. 

Besides, unless their appearances, personalities and the Warden's voice were magically imported to be completely in-character it would never work.

I think they will make a cameo (I am sure about hawk but the warden is a maybe). but to follow someone around no that would be too hard cause if the warden was in you would have 6 characters since 2 for a dwarf and 2 for elf and 2 for humans (male and female) it would be too much work

Making me pick only three is kinda hard but I'll go with

Merrill (I knoweveryone hates her, she's my favorite)
Fenris (as long as he stays grumpy)
Leliana (probably will be major but not a party member)

Leaving out the likes of Oghren, Aveline, or even Hawke is tough, but those three are who I want more time with. Also they'd also need good excuses to not still be in the Warden or Hawkes crews.

I like the idea of his redemption, carver seemed one of the more complex characters from DA2 and other than Sebastian my favorite character in the second game, and Tallis for her fun loving enjoyment out of life and an interesting look at the Qun from a member who is less fanatic
