I to osee more good players in silver compared to gold, i usually play silver till i find a team of players doing good and staying for more than 1 match, then up it for gold

Nothing is wrong with silver - I wish those no-consumable-no-gel-using gold players would play silver instead of leaching in gold. Hell if they would just put on some level one stuff it would be fine, but they won't even do that - cheap bastards.

With fulltime job and fulltime family (3 kids) I do not remotely get the time to play this game as much as I want to. When I get the chance I mostly play silver for a fun, enjoyable and laidback gaming experience. On silver you still have to proove some kind of skill and knowledge to the game and everyone can come along and play whatever kit and use whatever weapon without being kicked (exept leachers or People that cannot do a polite conversation on the mic). Fortunately I believe that the leaching problem is far bigger on gold and plat than on silver due to the credit issue.
I can solo silver and carry If necessary. Can almost solo gold and Have played a few gold PUGs but my, at the moment, limited experience with gold PUGs is not that great. I believe that I can make the team effort on gold with the weapons available in my manifest ( i use consumables), but my experience is that the good gold players is less tolerant of newcomers and will often rather kick someone for trying to use a Harrier 1 than teaching the ways of a higher playing level (more interested in credit harvesting)
The stories (rants and complaints of the gold PUGs) just confirms this. This is why I stick to silver (and hopefully is one of those players that lifts the experience for others playing silver), instead of playing more gold at the moment. Just don't have enough friends right now for the "fun gold adventure" when i eventually get some playtime, so I just use the gaming time i have to get the most out of this game.

Not always, OP. I've had some pretty terrible Silver games. Just this afternoon, in fact. I mean, I'm pretty used to the idea that at least one person wont jump in on the escort mission, but doing it solo the entire way? Someone using stabilization III on the N7 Crusader? Hosts who quit the second they go down?
I know Gold games can be just as bad, but I'm just saying, idiocy seems pretty fairly distributed.

Eh, I don't know. I have noticed more good players in Silver lately. But I had a PUG Silver game yesterday where one guy died and gelled himself 3 times across the map while everyone else was in the Hack circle, and then ragequit when he went down a fourth time and nobody revived him. Even worse, he was the host, and he quit after we had completed the Hack but before we finished the wave, so we had to do it over again. And even worse, it was Goddess, and the do-over Hack moved to the middle of the big center room.
Yeah, I know - it was Silver so it wasn't the hardest thing in the world, but it was Collectors and I actually had to use 2 ops packs to complete it.

Altheas is correct. I just had a game two days ago where I slipped up for a second and got the lolbansheemagnethands, and the wipe came like two minutes later.
Two of the people had fairly high N7/Challenge points, and decent loadouts (Claymore X on one guy). It was the most embarrassing Silver game I've ever played.

You notice more good players in silver because silver is a lot easier than gold. So of course its easier to win. Silver isn't the same league as gold so comparing player skill in it to those in Gold is irrelevant. It like being on the b squad sure you can rock in it but when you move to the a squad suddenly you are struggling.
