This was one of the few decisions in the game that actually made a difference. DId you kill Wrex on Virmire, and is so, why?

I didn't kill him. Because he's a cool guy and call's me a brother.

Also, I despise the Dalatrass and keeping Wrex alive gives marginally more War Assets than Wreav, as well as giving the Tuchanka missions a more positive atmosphere.

I killed him in one play through because he pulled his gun on me and my Shep was a huge douche bag who didn't care to convince him. He gave an order, Wrex refused to obey and threatened him on top of that, so off he goes into the nearest swamp.

The only choice in the trilogy worse than killing Wrex is killing Mordin on Tuchanka.

If you plan on killing him just don't recruit him. He will never be heard from again.

I have killed him on Virmire and even let Ashley kill him. That was cool.

Why did I kill him? The game lets me and I wanted to. It gives me another reason to do another playthrough. Now I let him live so I can kill him in ME3.

Playing renegade is so much fun.

Yep, I have in 2 of my 7 shepards. To tell ya the truth it just makes killing off the krogan easier. But my canon shepard would never betray him.

I killed him in my first playthrough, but only because I had no choice. It royally pissed me off to do it, since I liked him. Heck, I wasn't even siding with the Salarians; didn't even like those slimey newts. Like other's said, Wrex was my bro. He was the guy I wanted at my back in a fight, I understood him.
All my other playthroughs I make sure to make the right choices to avoid having to kill him.

Even though it royally pissed me off, I also liked that choices mattered. The choices you made up to that point affected the outcome of a given situation. I really like that about Bioware games. Oh sure, maybe it doesn't matter for the ending. So what? Choices are situational, and allow us to put our own...flavor...to our character; allow him his own personality. The journey is what is important, not the destination.

Wrex lived.

With RPGs I usually do all of the side missions, so by Virmire I had already completed the mission where you recover Wrex's family armor.

I didn't kill him though I used the renegade choice to calm him down and I was like: let's just calm this beast so we can continue with the mission, and, in ME3, I doubted on curing the genophage until the very end (until Wrex told me I was his brother and stuff, he got me with that one Q_Q).

I liked that bit where BioWare plants the seed of doubt by having Wrex start talking about building a Krogan empire and expanding. Even Mordin is like :?

80% of those who got Wrex killed (by Ashley) are noobs.

I usually do all the missions eventually, but not in one playthrough.  I like to save content for subsequent runs, so the first couple times I intentionally leave some content for the future.  In this case, my first time through I barely interacted with Wrex, so I didn't get the armor quest.  Also didn't have enough Charm points, so Ashley had to shoot him.  It was a bummer despite barely knowing him.

On my current playthrough I made sure to keep him alive (by having a small enough team), because I plan on killing him and Mordin in ME3.  I love both characters, but I also love seeing different content, and doing that is a huge variation.

It's smarter to shoot him. What do we know about him at that point really? He's a gun for hire who's now aiming that gun at the commander. A hostile member of a violent race. But I love the guy.

If you actually talk to him on the Normandy you learn a lot more about him than that. It's the reason getting his armor back lets you talk him down even with the most tongue-tied Shepard in the galaxy, you've proven to each other how much more you are than race/class combinations.

Agreed. I love to take him on every mission I go on, because this'll be the first and last time he can ever go on an entire campaign with me(Bummer to ME3, only on Citadel DLC but still nice). But I love the guy. He's very interesting. I play Female Shepard only, so I like having him around a lot. It killed me when I couldn't get him in ME2, and even more in ME3. But no, I would never kill Wrex. I'm like Kelly. I love all kinds of species.<3

No. He was my favourite squadmate from the start and probably would be still if was present in ME2. Now he has to share the #1 with Garrus.

Never. If he would be squad member in ME3 my dream team would be Tali and uncle Wrex.

On just one playthrough, the one before my Citadel DLC playthrough. I just wanted to do it once, just to experience the differences.

I'd never kill squadmates on a whim. That'd be poor leadership skills, and Shepard is a people's person :)

In ME1 I rolled with Wrex all the time, in ME2 I rolled with Grunt, in ME3 I cured the genophage (or helped rather). I would never kill a krogan that's on my team. However I would gladly kill Vega if I had the chance. We get Vega instead of a proper awesome krogan. Mind blowing.
