take some friendly advice, don't even bother with the PS3 version
Now you've gone and hurt all PS3 owners feelings.

PS3 is where it's at. I've played all three console versions btw.

No, but I wish I were drinking again... For real, you perfecty fine without having the option to play with a gamepad? For real, real?

So you just answered your own question: it's preferential.Sinful Force wrote...
I grew up with an original Nintendo gamepad in my hand. There is no changing me.
No it's not. Racing and sports games are about the only genres that are better on gamepad. Just about everything else is prefential (to an extent).Sinful Force wrote...
Besides, all games are playable via gamepad very comfortably, while not so via mouse & keyboard.

I'm actually kind of curious why consoles haven't gotten mice yet.

Other dev reply; "That would take a whole day of extra programing. And besides, those master race basement dwelling handicaps couldn't handle a joystick let alone the one they were born with."
All devs together; "Har, har, har. Har, har, har."

Because a mouse and keyboard is a crutch, it takes real skill to play on console with aim assist.

Yes, a little too much skill thanks to that blasted aim assist if you ask me...
But yeah, you totally right. PC master is in reality the bulk of the casual gamers race where little to no skill apply point and click games rule the day. ... I really dread the day they take over. Which is inevitable, no doubt about it.
EDIT - and why we have so many girls here.

I don't know
I couldn't imagine playing Counter-Strike with a joypad ever either
Or an RTS. Blah.
Flight sims and driving games do better with a gamepad, as do side/vertical scrollers. MMORPGs can be designed with gamepads in mind.
1st/3rd person shooter, get used to a mouse and keyboard. Always superior, even when the game is gimped to allow gamepad usage.

2. You are talking without know anything, i bet you, i repeat I BET YOU that once you get used to the mouse and keyboard, mainly the mouse, you will like it much more than your console controller, for real.
The mouse is much much more precise than the joypad.
Also:
Don't using keyboards for too long in life give you carperl or whatever tunnel thingy too? Because of how uncomfotable it if to hold a keyboad in hand?
LOL WHAT?
you don't hold the keyboard while playing bro, the keyboard is on the table or whatever and you just press the fingers, is not rocket science.

The developers don`t want certain players to have advantage over other players when it comes to MP.
It will kill the game fast.

And eh, why would I play vid game in front of a table? What's wrong with being comfortable in my bed lying down? Guess this just proves PC master race just don't like comfort, I guess?

Lived in Japan. FFXI wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. It was just pitched at a different market.
There is one caveat The half-life 2 survivor games they had in the arcades worked very well for me. But I doubt anyone has space for a monster cabinet like that, and it required some specific tweaks to mod a game for use in that cabinet.
