I don't mind the remake. While it is no where near as good as the original (SCREW YOU BENNY!!!) the different concept behind it was ok. Not great but ok.

There were other people but I couldn't see them or revive them. It looked it was just me and the Cerberus legions

No, it's perfectly cromulent.
Edit: It embiggens us all to have read it.

Hydra Geth Gold, I joined in on wave 7, the other 3 guys are all on the hidden spot where the enemies can't shoot you. And they stayed up there, only climbed down when they needed ammo. A while ago, this would have bothered me. But now it amuses me. I had the whole battlefield for me alone, nothing in my way, felt good. And it was ridiculous to watch them altogether sit up there like some birds on a wire, lol.

1. Took my Kroguard Level 1 to a random silver, landing in a Wave 3 Geth Glacier. Both other players are skulls, so funny. I finish the wave for them and one player gets up - I'm gobsmacked - it's another Kroguard! How can you die on Silver-Geth with a Kroguard?? Next 8 waves I had to do all the hacks and escorts myself because they never helped, just did their own thing and both died a lot, over and over and over, and never geling, never reviving one another until I came along. The Kroguard never biotic charged once which was nuts, no wonder they kept dying. By the end I had 120K points on silver with no equipment except gear, had the gold revive medal, whilst the next player was 40K - they were all level 15-18 too. Wanted to message the Kroguard to tutor them how to turn the Kroguard in to an invincible solo machine, it would change their gaming experience around, but host left unfortunately before I got their ID.
2. Did another random Silver, can't remember it.
3. Then went looking for a Geth-Gold to level up the level12 Kroguard, landed in a Collectors-Hydra with just the acolyte. Thanks a bundle search engine. Scored highest with the little pea shooter, though my DPS against Prateorians was horrible beyond the shield stripping stage. It was a good team, improvizing and working together quite well.
4. Joined another Geth Gold, Ghost Hazard, landed on wave3, by now I'm level 15, so it's a milk run, I spend nearly as much time headbutting the air than trying to kill anything. Someone's get their microphone stuck on. One PUG leaves about wave4 (not the microphone PUG sadly) and FasterThanFTL joins around wave5. During the hack on Wave10 the legend came alive, he repeatedly spammed rockets at spawns that were miles away and were never going to threaten the group during the hack. I guessed he's trying to get top score as the legends say, also why he's very nearly #2 in the world challenge point leaderboard. For once this mass rocket spamming mattered to me, so smirking away I do the unthinkable; I also start firing missiles, 3 of which manage to miss off-host on Wave 10, lol wtf. All I could managed was 3 individual primes on the extraction wave, but it was enough to stay ahead, outscored him by 7K, whilst he was the only player who didn't extract - too busy desperately trying to score more I guess. Host left immediately when the scoreboard came up, either fed up with the microphone or the scrubby missiling spamming or someone who didn't extract but should know better ... or maybe all my cheeky headbutting.
5. Last 4 golds of the night which got me to level 20 were with the same 3 PUGgers. I copied the choice of one of the other players as she kept changing vanguards each game (giggling too which was cute), so did the Kroguard, the Volguard, the Assguard and Slayer. Host played Krolord throughout. Whilst I may have topped the score board in each game (though the volguard score was a close run thing), the fortunes reversed as we progressed from game 1 to game 4, due to off-host lag or glitchy bugs. In game1 I was the super reviver and the host died the most. By game 4, London Geth, it was the opposite, 3 of us wiped on the extraction wave whilst the host was the only solid player. I had no gels, lots of lag, charge often wouldn't work, neither would dodge moves, no chance to make it to cover before being one-shotted again. The host must've revived me about 6 times in a minute and they were the only player to extract too. Then they left and I went to bed, lol.
I guess tonight it's promote and repeat ...

Forget it. Lag was awful. Rage quit on wave 5, I'd had enough of nothing working. Guessing matchmaker threw me into an overseas lobby because matchmaking is awful. Why in hell does this game not have an option to wait longer and search for better connections, like in CoD, because I would seriously wait 3-4 minutes to find a good lobby instead of being thrown into the first terrible lobby the game can find.
don't mind me, I'm just TheTechnoRageTurian right now ...
2.) LOLMATCHMAKER
Very next lobby: MEPinger reveals the host is in Poland. I am in Washington State. 400 ms. lolnope

But in a good way. Two of the pugs were fairly new from the gear, and the third played a decent AA. Thankfully the pug who was hosting was one of the smoothest hosts I've ever experienced - fortunately, because after lone wolfing and steamrolling through the first few waves of cerberus/vancouver/gold I noticed they were dropping pretty frequently, so I made it my mission to stick by and get them through it.
Wouldn't have usually been possible to do half the tricks with the shadow off host so smoothly if not for the extremely good connection. I've never experienced shadow strike so smoothly off host - it actually worked when pressing the button (well, most of the time). Things like dropping down a ladder into SS and then SS back up the ladder without delay. Beat cerberus into submission while doing more revives in a match than I can ever recall.
Unfortunately so caught up was I in reviving and getting them to extract that my shadow got taken down 2 seconds from extraction.

The last Gold pug game vs Cerberus on Glacier Hazard was laggy as hell. We kept on dropping every few seconds the whole game through. But no one left, we stood together like a team and did the best we could of this situation. Somehow we made it to a mission successful, not easy to hit the enemy when he's not there where you see him...

I was dominating the match with a Lancer II by about 100k. Against Cerberus. On Giant. Wave 9 wipe. You do the math.

Haven't played turian soldier v often. I did ok but it was painful watching 2 heavy melee juggernaut esp one which died ten times and an edi bit with no cloak
2) nice
Lots of lag made my off host slayer v tricky to play but we got 6 waves survived and I only used 1 of each consumable. 3 v good pug working together

Ongoing downhill since trying to revive someone on wave 2 and having to use a gel myself. Then get locked in reactor during wave 3 (thanks team... <_<) having to use an ops pack and gel thanks to the brute. And now synced by a banshee... great. :/
Edit: Ah **** it. I RQ. Not usually one to do that, but this is just awful like every possible thing that can go wrong is going wrong...

Awesome team, everyone helps with objectives, some power combos and synergy, a geth juggy who knows what he's doing, 20 minute game, only consumable used was 1 missile to get two banshees off our backs during the escort at wave 10, full extraction, 10 waves survived.
FBW/ Reapers/ Gold. I wish all pugs were like that.

Reactor / U / Platinum
Some guys came and went. One guy was named SmellyTroll. That name pleased me.
Then a Jugg joined and he/she was tearing ass.
Didn't think I was gonna make it. My doubt turned into full extraction with only three players. We extracted victoriously in the piles of pee and poop of our slain enemies.
