WHAT?!

Decided to take my HSdept onto a gold pug, something I wouldn't usually do, since I'm poor with squishy kits, and I have issues with shockwave, got into a game in progress with another HAdept, using an almost identical appearance setting, the first HAdept I've ever seen in gold.

The game then proceeded to become increasingly odd...

First off, one of the pug's somehow got their legs stuck in the floor, with only their upper torso visible.

They disconnected eventually, making it a trio.

Then I ended up successfully kiting and clutching a wave, something I don't do very often, especially when playing on the london map.

Then I got stomped almost instantly at the start of the following wave, due to a med-gel that didn't work (laaaaaaaaaaag), forcing my mirror to duplicate my clutch.

Then finally me and my mirror both got tele-fragged by a single banshee on wave 9, despite us both taking on pairs of them single-handedly just a few minutes ago.

The third player (a cabal), wasn't able to pull it off unfortunately, the teleports were less kind to her than the banshees...

I'm having these weird flashbacks to the Philidelphia Experiment.  Fun flick.  Scared the crap out of me when I was 8 because of the specific scene you reminded me of.  Sounds liek the weirdest laggy game ever.

Wasted

Pre-set Plat lobby to hydra, host camps back corner next to the waterfall. Didn't know you could even get up there! Other two players leave quickly, I bleed out and stay around out of curiosity, 10 minutes later he is still on wave 2! Cue my exit.

Is this a normal thing, do I need to be wary of pre-set hydra lobbies now?

I don't see it often anymore but it was considered a bannable offense since it's actually a bit of a map glitch. It's the most useless way of cheating there is, though.

A hazard Giant Reapers silver game (I just promoted, only 7 more to go for the banner I wish I hadn't decided I wanted).

Everyone clinging to the person doing devices? Check.
Using missiles on spawns during objective waves? Check.
Revive fest in middle of the map? Check.
Spawn nuking during extraction? Check.
Camping the LZ during extraction? Check.
Freaking out at the appearance of banshees and completely ignoring the marauders and ravagers that are actually actively shooting at you? Also check.

Strangely fun all things considered.

Hilarious

Someone playing trying to play a Kroguard was sync killed during wave 8 on condor / reapers. He was accusing me: 

Thank you, juggernaut!
Me: What?
He (with an almost whiny voice): You are supposed to melee the banshees, it's your job!
Me: Hell no! Learn to play!
He: You need to learn to play, all the players are running from the banshees, while you do nothing but shooting!
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

He continued to whine for the rest of the game, calling me names (arrogant b***h) and is still convinced that a juggernaut has nothing to do but to heavy melee the banshees.

Resolute

Last PUG was preset to Dagger/Geth/Gold. I was working on Collector Adept extractions and landed with a Kroguard, a GI, and a Drell Adept.

Around Wave 2 or 3, the Drell Adept got presumably disconnected since he suddenly disappeared for no apparent reason (i.e. wasn't bleeding out or anything; he was actually on the offensive and doing well when he disappeared, poor guy). The GI was spending the majority of the match on the floor. Kroguard and I kept circling around to pick him up, but it was just dreadfully apparent this person wasn't ready for Gold (they were the one hosting, naturally).

Afte the Drelldept disappeared and GI bled out (again) on Wave 4/5, he rage-quit.

I was shocked to see the Kroguard stayed in the room with me during host migration (usually everyone gets confused and bails). He and I proceeded to duo the majority of the match together before a Juggernaut and TGI dropped in late in the game. While duoing, we had a pretty fun time figuring out how to coordinate together... which largely turned into me Dark Channeling everything and him charging it to set off BEs, and picking each other up as needed when trapped in StunlockFest.

Was a fun match. Very determined, resolute one. Even after the other two joined in late, anytime I went down, that Krogan was instantly there to pick me up and vice versa. I even blew a rocket on a pyro about to stomp him because, dammit, not on my watch and I had plenty of rockets left. LOL Formed a brothership during those duo waves. Very cool thing to see happen, especially when no one's wearing a mic and it just sort of naturally happens.

Got Glacier Hazard. I was a Venom DA, others were a Falcon Fury, Lancer PV and a Hurricane Suppressor QMS with area scan. You can imagine. lol

Be always prepared, when I'm in a collectors match. I killed all 3 pugs with a Possessed Abomination in the last second to extraction and got lone survivor ofc.

Trio.
White reapers gold with a Harrier TGI, a Huntress and a Valkyrie.
Started as a full team but the fury who was playing with us rage quitted after getting downed three times in wave 2.
We were joined by another fury for a wave who apologized before leaving, saying that he could not see the enemies. Poor guy got a hug from a banshee.
Scores were pretty even (120/140/160) and time was decent considering it was a trio so nice game overall.

Played a bunch of Gold pugs last night. Everybody held their own, helped with objectives... a couple of newer guys went down a few times, but they didn't head straight for the EZ, didn't nuke on the extraction wave...

Maybe I just had good luck today.

Better than expected.

Was messing around in silver, blowing of the cobwebs before finding a gold lobby, when I met a lobby of three guys I think knew each other.

Judging by their low N7 ratings, which were <500 and not round numbers (meaning that they were promoters) and low level guns (level 1 GSMG for example), I presumed that they were either new players or people working on a second manifest.

Not a problem I thought, it's only silver. So I readied up and played a few games.

They went a lot smoother than expected, so I figured I'd go find a gold lobby, only to notice that the host had upgraded it to gold a moment ago!

Figured "**** it, they played OK the last 2 games, why not?"

Wasn't the quickest or smoothest pair of gold games I've ever played, but I've played much, much worse games, with team-mates who were much more experienced, and better equipped.

Full extraction the first game, and finished the wave 10 objective on the second.  Can't ask much more than that.

Ran into a group of what I can only assume were BSNers and stuck around for a few games. Had an all-GI game vs Cerberus/Gold then cranked it up to Plat. The games really illustrated the gap between competent players and great ones....I tried to stay useful with revives and missiles but really, even using the GI and TGI my presence was superfluous. Still though, if any of you are reading this then thanks for the credits!

Went back to gold, had a HORRIBLE cerberus match on rio, we all got slaughtered, esp since 2 pugs couldnt be bothered to gel.

I finally tried a platinum pug as opposed to platinum with friends. First lobby i get into, they ask me if i mind missile glitching. Quick lobby quit...

Next plat lobby, we ready up. We all die on wave 2. The TGI and I use gel, the host rage quits when we dont revive him. Its now TGI and me alone on cerberus white hazard against cerberus. I bleed out because i dont want to play this, the TGI finishes the wave on his own, and now two new people turn up who arent v good. TGI and I end up doing most of hte match on our own. Used up almost all my consumables but we get extraciton.

5 London/Geth Platinums in a row, the host must have been a sadist and never scored particularly well but it was fun, everyone managing to extract every time, and I like getting gold medals each game. Fun up until wave 9 of the final game when I saw some of the biggest game BS ever; a player went down, I ran 75% of the map distance to revive them, and as I get close I realize the enemies are moonwalking and I cannot activate the revive ...

... then after a bit the camera smooth zooms halfway back across the London map to hover over a skull icon somewhere (it can't even locate my corpse) and apparently a banshee had killed me a while back up the kill feed, whilst the other 2 players have also bled out, obviously we all got completely trolled by the host's connection and unforgiving game code.

Unfortunately the Juggy host couldn't carry the remainder of the wave, when it came down to it they didn't seem to really understand the concept of keeping very close to cover or bottlenecking the enemies in to manageable queues. I've no idea why they chose London and Geth, it's the hardest map and combined with Geth it's about the hardest combo with all that stunlock madness. Ironically I also had to keep doing the Juggy's job, holding and destroying all the Banshees in pairs on the stairs and ramps with a Kroguard each game whilst the Juggy just kept running away, pfffft, never trust a machine.

I unashamably (almost) always scrub with the Kroguard on Platinum for this reason, I can't trust Juggies to do their job of holding sync killers, I've got the best chance of successfully zipping in to revive other players and I can't trust the game code not to barrage me with secret shots whilst the host is lagging.

So Fun it may be the best PUG that I ever join.
Really smooth on gold, team play, feeling co-op again and no laggy.

Amazing

After failing horribly on my krogan warlord build (couldn't figure out how to stay alive), I reread the rage evolutions and got it respec'd correctly. The very next lobby was a silver geth on the krogan planet (I don't know map names). I haven't had that much fun in a long time. Just ran through everything smashing it all up with melee. My teammates were adepts of some sort so they set me up for BE's a lot with biotic hammer. One of the most satisfying games I've had ^.^

Sync'dWave9 - 1 minute later, fission mailure. I realized after, this is the first wipe I can remember in the last couple months ... been on a good roll ... next ...

AltAccountPUGgingSilver - My N7 23 kit (level 8 Hsent) was leading the scoreboard until wave 11, when 2 of the other players (both with 20K plus CP) started with the wave 11 rockets .. i've never seen so many unleashed on wave 11 .. I counted 10 missiles between the 2 of them .. twas hilarious. Suffice to say I dropped to 3rd pretty fast lol.

I guess I played ok, because they switched the set-up to Glacier/Reaper/Platinum .. (the 3 of them were mic'd up friends) and one was like "okay 44, (designation in my ID) ready for platinum?" another "I don't think we should do that unless 44 has a mic"

Meanwhile, I'm thinking, you really want me to play platinum with no gear or equipment, using a level 12 Hsent with a Predator III? And what difference would it make if I had a mic when i'd probably be in spectator mode for most of it? I bailed ..

Eh. Decided to take my Talon GI for a spin again. Got dropped into a Ghost/Cerberus on gold. When I dropped in they had just started. Right after I dropped in, a brand new player using a Salarian (couldn't tell which one he was cause all they did was stay at the LZ like a lunkhead). Had a couple of missile fails but I was tearing through enemies like butter anyway. Was out of cyclonics so I took an AM III. I forgot how flipping fast he was with maximum movement speed on HM. Sidestepping dragoons was cake, I had a few missile fails but I used a couple to move the match along since all the other three were going down every five minutes. The Kroguard had a revenant which I rolled my eyes but said, his choice. Whoever was playing the juggernaut in my match couldn't play it to save their lives. Went down too much for that class. Then the krogan who obviously didn't headbutt with the delivery was being an idiot in the last two waves. Pretty much all of them were new in some aspect cause they didn't have very much time under their belt. Also we didn't get a full extraction which I was expecting. I was half expecting to get a lone survivor with the way things were going. I just love nailing those phantoms and dragoons with headshots from the Talon. Really satisfying. At least I didn't get dropped back to the title screen because of a disconnection like yesterday.

I accidently solo'd my last game because nobody joined my public lobby. Cerberus/Goddess/Gold and I was using my Batarian Brawler + Venom with Disruptor ammo, Cyclonic I, Strength Enhancer I and Juggernaut Shield.
