Fun

 

played 4 quick (and drunken) plat games with a good team, I got to play both my hyper aggressive QME and my cautious AJA, good games

1.  Fail

 

Three very new-seeming players on Collectors/London/Gold, with horrible lag on my end.  I was amazed we made it through the wave 6 objective.  Unfortunately, immediately after finishing the objective, the host left.  Then the second host left, and then the third, leaving me with a "Your connection to the game has been lost" message.

 

2. Didn't-happen

 

Unfortunately, two of the others never readied up, so I left after about 5 minutes.  I was really looking forward to seeing the Fury in action.  N7-97, with an Adas III, Raider II (with blade attachment), Strength Enhancer 1, and Batarian Guantlet 1.  Any one ever try a heavyish loadout melee-focused Batglove Fury?  Is it at all viable?

We had a host migration with a decent team, three guys with krogan characters remaining, The fourth guy joining switched to a Krogan and we had some smooth gold runs with a lot of headbutts, one of then was sub-15. I disconnected after the second or third run. .

Headshot-O-Rama

 

I decided to take the EDI bot on a run as one of my last games of the night. Got my 20 headshots medal and I think my total headshots were about 30 to 35. Could have been more had my aim been more spot on. I've made it a personal goal to have the 20 headshot medal everytime I pug. Cause hey, that squish that the head makes when you take it off is really addicting. Similar to the squish the headshots made on the Gears games. Not to mention I'm getting back to using the ol claymore again. This was on the alt account.

Miraculous!

 

Played 4 gold games in a row with a very efficient team, only one of whom I'd ever encountered before.  The host changed the enemy faction each time so we played against them all, and I was reminded of the perils of playing a full melee build Batguard off-host, getting grabbed by just about everything that can grab.  Tremendous fun though.  Full extractions in each game, with very few consumables needed.

 

The last game was U/U/G and we got Collectors/White.  This is where things got truly miraculous - I was on PS3 and IT DIDN'T FREEZE!!!!!!!

Countdown timer starts for extract in my plat pug and the 3 amigos I'm playing with make a break for extract. I don't think 20 seconds ran off the timer and they all had died in the magic circle. I sat there on the other side of the map smh and laughing.

Cerberus/Reactor/Gold.  When you break 200K in a gold match, you know the others really suck.  Good thing the host left at the beginning of wave 9, restoring my Ops packs, otherwise we probably wouldn't have made it.  It also helped that the replacement player was much better then the guy who left.

Right at the wrong time - I don't think I've ever played berserker melee QFE better than this. Hydra/reapers, dodging everything in the right places, using all the right cover spots, perfect venom/cryo/heavy melee timing on everything - brutes and ravagers included (banshees are easy to finish off with melee)... annoying to have a wave 7 disconnect.

Don't know what the hell that last wave was. Only fitting it ended in me losing my connection.

Yeah, exccept in our case, it was Wave 11, and it was... well, it was PS3. No other way to describe it.

It was classic PS3. We had framerate drop in the later waves. Players teleporting around. Guns sometimes doing damage, sometimes not. And then an eternal 0:00 timer at extraction.

 

The video is uploading of the short time I recorded during the first extraction... showing the scoreboard... then host migration... then we got some poor PUG dropping into KO's place just in time for second extraction... more weirdness... and final scoreboard shows me about 12,000 less than first extraction's in-game scoreboard.

 

I don't even. PS3, pls.

Disappointing.

Got dropped in to Rio/Geth on wave 2 in progress and an AIU/Reegar camped the box the whole game. The Fury was in cover the whole game, and the 3rd (forget what he played) was at LZ at the beginning of wave 11.

So sad.

I'm on my alt account pugging for a bit, I got dropped into an U/U/G match. I'm a shadow and so is the host. I am toting an Arc Pistol and a Wraith (shotgun omni-blade ftw!), host is using a suppressor only with the stunner and power amp. Another random is quickly specing a Quarksman, then the fourth player is a DAI with a Claymore. I figured out early on from the drell's loadout that he was gonna be doing some FEs with the recon and the homing nades. We get geth/goddess. I'm like ok, I can pretty much do what I normally do. Wave 3 and 6 objectives weren't too bad. Wave 10 however, slow ass R2-Detour took us right into oncoming primes. I had to use three of my rockets to clear it so the damned thing could go. The other half of my rockets went to saving teammates from sticky situations. That's what I effing get for playing hero. Drell and I were neck and neck for score. We both got 20 headshots but he got it before me. He was pretty damn good that setup. The final score between both of us was about 300 points. Lol. I hope the DAI is a BSNer cause he was awesome with that set up.

"Batarian".

 

Hydra, Cerberus, Silver.  Three of us were Batarians -- my soldier, a sentinel, and an adept; the forth was a Drell.  Fair bit of falcon punching between waves, some during it, and a particularly absurd moment when the adept lashed some grunt airborne, and the sentinel froze it in mid-air with the submission net.

They left me to solo. So then I tried soloing. Now I'm hoping the PuGs stay.

They all suddenly started to chatter about me, how I should go to the kitchen and make them krogan sandwiches, constantly calling for spooning or whatever when they got down. At first just general teasing referencing to my epeen, though not in those words, but then it got really funny and I stayed with poor bastards for some 4 or 5 matches. Had some nice laughs. I don't think they post here but they might be lurking.

Thought the match was gonna be kinda rough while waiting in the lobby, but it wasn't too bad. I didn't have to clutch any waves.

I was always doing my best at reviving people.

 

But when I was the one getting killed : NOPE !

 

Had to carry the game until wave 8 when I was out of gels & out of survival ops kits.

 

I especially remember that Quarian Soldier almost never reviving his teammates, and camping at the rear of Rio around the shame-box while we were getting mauled by Praetorians.

Me(as vanilla ha) and one more pug(krodept) carried other 2 pugs to wave 10 completion. Couldnt clutch w10 after that damnable escort lol! Rio/Reaper/Plat.(I HATE RIO!)

Spitfire.

 

I thought I would give my vorcha with a spitfire a go on silver with some PUGs. They were obviously quite new and they spoke French so I couldn't quite follow what they were saying. We got Rio and collectors (ugh!) and they fell into the trap of leaving the escort to go and revive their teammates to only be downed themselves. I ended up Soloing a wave and they were telling to warn me about the enemies they could see; shame I don't understand French. Despite this, I gathered they were having fun as one make the same sound as the spitfire on the mic as I was emptying the clip into a scion and there was mini cheer as the last enemy was killed.

 

Ah...the fond memories of being new to the game.

Meh, pug are pugs. I think generaly the don't like to be outscored by a girl. I didn't mind, because during the two games i played with you, i was never worried about mission failure. Maybe the rng gods drop me in a lobby with you next time.

You do of course know that FuriousFelicia is a guy, but maybe the PUGs don't. Besides, what's wrong with being outscored by a girl...seems an outdated attitute to me.
