Decent.
U/U/S. Two Juggernauts (one who was Siege Pulse happy, one who as melee-happy) and a smash-all-the-things Krolord. Took my Claymore X + Javelin I AIU. I'm nowhere remotely decent with the Javelin to make that anything but an opportunistic weapon (and at I, even w/ a spare ammo mod => total shots = 10, eh.). Cerberus / Jade, devices / probe / probe. Completely uncommunicative game but we cooperated functionally anyway, and nobody went down at all until wave 8. The Krolord managed to get himself synced on Wave 8 and every succeeding wave, but everybody else extracted. Hm... and now that I think about it, I don't think any of us used a single Cobra.
Solo.
I guess,Collectors Glacier isn´t favourite setup for pugs.
AwesomeSauce.
I was a slayer doing the 'suicide squad' with a friend. We got a justicar and a paladin. My friend was an AIU as she was leveling up her infils but had enough for SF and max cloak. Explosions both tech and biotic were going off everywhere. Getting to play the slayer on host is always a stress reliever for me as I can charge in laser everything rinse and repeat. It's the kind of mindless fun I needed as I have not been having the best couple of days. For the most part whenever I do suicide squad with my friend, most of the gold games go almost sub-15. I know glacier I had about a 16 minute one and that was with double devices I believe. I'm rambling, anyway, bottom line had a ton of fun with the slayer. I rarely host so I don't get to play him often.
Troll.
I had my melee Krentinel, and out-Kroganed the host who was on a Kroldier. He and his GF next match camped a corner of the map the entire game, not even helping with kill objectives! Wave 6 was Pizza and it was closer to him so I didn't go after it. Eventually he went and picked it up himself, and I cooked him in the reactor! Stole his pizza and took the scenic route back to LZ. Then they vote kicked me at the next lobby. I pulled up my lolxbox "recent players" list and rejoined their lobby. Host was now on a Salarian Infiltrator, I think? The new pug had no reason to vote kick me, so host set it to Condor and the lobby counted down. With 2 seconds to go I switched to Reegar AIU. Stole all his kills and doubled his score. I only wish they weren't in party chat, I love CQC nerdrage.
Not to mention they didn't have a clear sense of spawn control.
I've been trying to create a Bill O'Reilly meme out of this but I'm too old and drug-addled.
"PUGS DON'T HAVE A CLEAR SENSE OF SPAWN CONTROL - YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN THAT" type thing.
Can't stop laughing though, thank you for brightening my day. (Sorry for the tough match though)

So I did some promotions, as its my excuse to play lolsilver. Bring my lvl1 Shaman with eviscerator (omniblade handle). And on wave one (Vancover Reapers), there are a bunch of skulls. Ok... Then on wave 3 devices i have to do most of them, and on wave 6 targets I get to do all of them while the widow SI who was still standing at that point was hiding the other side of the map. Of course mid wave 9 i get banshee'd ![]()
Next Reactor Reapors, level 1 KroSent , also eviscerator omniblade. Land in wave 5, but still was a somewhat rough game (the sort where people actually listen to the dude who tells you to go to the LZ for extraction.) The fact I top scored despite coming in the middle, with a weak, weakly armed character pretty much sums it up. And I suck with melee characters. Sometimes I think gold is easier!
BioticBoomSquad!
Pugged for a couple of hours last night, and had a pretty awesome time. In fact, I only had one bad game, and that was because of the dreaded lag. And, of course, I was playing the Asari Vangard. On Collectors/London/Gold. So half the time I couldn't charge, and half the time I threw nonexistant grenades. And let's not even talk about Praetorians suddenly appearing right in front of me...
Despite all that, we did get to Wave 9. My plucky Volus adept companion had unfortunately been eaten by a Possessed Collector Captain, so I decided to go out in a blaze of glory...unlike our host, who let himself get stomped. Missiles and lift grenades went EVERYWHERE and it was glorious. Giving up? Pffft. THIS. IS. N7 SPECIAL OPS!
I really need to start hosting my own games again.
PuG'd on PS3, and landed in a lobby set to Unknown/Unknown. I figured that, since it was my first game of the day, it would probably be safe, and I ran with it.
Got Collectors (of course) and it actually went well. I've played Gold Collectors on PS3 only a handful of times, so I forget that being able to get headshots with PS3 controllers makes them a lot easier.

I once extracted from a Ghost Hazard/Collectors/Gold match which was my 4th or 5th game without a reboot. I'd been with a good team and didn't want to quit. I can only assume that the liberal use of missiles on double Praetorians was the contributory factor.
As someone who has (so far) flirted with the xbox version because of all the obvious technical benefits over the PS3, I have to ask if what you mentioned about headshots is in reference to differences in console controllers that I've yet to work out? Pearl was good enough to point out that the triggers can be switched, so I did that, but I generally feel much less in control of movement and aiming, and I stick unintentionally to cover almost every time I try to run. And I really can't manage the d-pad at all. It seems I just suck with the xbox controller ![]()
Carrying!
Cerb/Gold/London
I'm playing about with kits and go with a Demolisher with no pylon (9 Grenades with grenade gear!) and a Crusader!
The good:
Pylon-less Demolisher is actually quite good! and the Crusader works really well with her.
The bad:
Rest of the team insists on sheltering under the bridge on every wave, and goes down early on EVERY wave!
I finally run out of lives (and patience) on wave 10 ![]()
Kicked.
From bronze... I wanted to play, but I was waiting for a phone call and didn't want to have to go AFK on gold, so I searched a bronze match. After all, they should be able to three man bronze for a minute when I take the call. Less than two seconds after finding a lobby, I got the boot.

Perhaps the more experienced people either quickly move up to gold (if they want more challenge, credits, and probably people who communicate) or chill in Bronze (if they want to play casually, w/o bothering with consumables, and perhaps experimenting with funny or new builds for the lulz)?
I pretty much stay entirely in B/S since I'm not terribly reliable under pressure nor at getting my microphone to work in ME3 (*), and while I haven't been tracking stats I *think* I actually see more extreme manifests/CPs/etc in Bronze games (sometimes with goofy builds; I know of at least one complete-manifest player with an awful lot of hours whom I've seen use a PPR X on a Volus in multiple Bronze games, for instance) than I do in Silver. A number of the silver games I've been in, it's with fairly new-ish players who've just finished a Bronze game and decide to try the next level... or the Avenger I + Katana I host has it set at Bronze, but then bumps it up when more experienced / better-equipped player(s) join in the expectation of being carried, it seems.
(*) Mic detected, normal not-disabled icon in lobby, voice enabled in settings, PTT doesn't seem to work. Works in Steam, so it's presumably not bad HW. Gah.
^ where's your 10WS? It doesn't count without that! ![]()
I do love the sub 20 min PUGs
- I assume your teamates were fairly decent? Since they kept you below 200...
^ I don't score all that high in PuGs. ![]()
Team-mates were pretty nice - they helped with objectives and they consistently forced the initial spawn in the basement. There was no random spawn-nuking or w11 rocketing. That, to me is a very good team for a pug. ![]()
Then again, suppressor DI is pretty OP....sub-20 on glacier with pugs with that kit is not all that hard ![]()
Faaast.
Reapers/Glacier/Silver, (Peaesstree) 13:35. Drone/Pizzas/Hack. Talon GI, Fury, Kroguard with the Reeger, and a Vorcha sentinal. Fastest I've ever done a silver. One of the pugs fired a missile or two during the hack, I fired one in wave 11 to make a banshee drop the kroguard, but otherwise, no spawn nuking. Well, not with missiles anyway
. Went from my first ever attempts to solo Platinum (8, 8, 7) to just wanting to run around fast and send things flying. Mission accomplished.
Blind.
I was a Geth Trooper and was randomly put in Firebase White Hazard. I managed to stay indoors for most of the game, but extraction was...interesting ![]()

It's ok, I just needed to vent about it. If it made someone laugh, at least I did an unintentional funny. ![]()
OhGodTheHorror
I once assumed(incorrectly, as it turns out) that getting the Shurikan achievement would be the most horrible thing I would ever face.
I was wrong.
I had not yet met the abomination that is the scorpion.
Imagine a game where a Kroguard, a N7 Slayer and a N7 Fury all decide to use your bullet trails to choose their targets. Maybe one in TEN projectiles actually got a chance to explode.
And the bullets dont even kill ordinary troopers in one shot!
By the end I was repeatedly slamming my head into my desk. I was probably doing more good that way than actually playing, anyway.

Don't fire at the enemy (unless you need to apply an ammo effect), fire at the floor in front of them.
The scorpion shots turn into short radius proxy mines which detonate the instant a enemy moves into range, which will be immediately if you fire directly in front of the target.
Try using the scorpion on a kit with the power version of proxy mine such as the TSol, GI, SI, or VolEng.
Collectors.
I'm tired of these monkey fighting collectors showing up in every Monday to Friday match I play in U\U. Please! Go Home! Shoo! You and your bugs.

Wow, that...that actually explains a lot. <_>
